Hi Melanie!
Love what you did with your jean shorts - so cool!
Your quilt top is BEAUTIFUL!! The minky backing is going to be so cozy 🤗
Your organizing binder is so helpful and handy!

Thank you Robyn! I'm on my second pair of PE pants now. They are so lovely to wear!
Love your quilt top! Good going with those alterations and sashiko embroidery. The bit on one side is a special touch.
Thank you! Time to finish the quilt...
Thank you Melanie for your video. It's full of inspiration again. I'm also currently putting together what I want to sew for fall and winter. Thank you for taking the time to make the videos. Warm greets from Germany.
Thank you so much! I'm glad my video is inspiring - what a great compliment! I'm working on my fall winter wardrobe too, even though it's 108F outside! Eventually it will get cooler, right? Take care ❤️
Hi from Texas. Thank you for sharing. I love that you did color choices. After doing it, I think you will see a person that has the wrong color on. Oh my.
Hi Melanie, i was a quilter for decades before returning to mainly garments. Markers were a problem. I recommend you use whatever the quilt store recommends for marking. I used chalk. And a product called Tech. Not sure you can find it in Texas, but it’s magic. I had my colors done when I was young, so have had a lifetime of dressing in my colors, happy to have some guidelines. Chalk is such a great idea! I have some and will try that if I venture into quilting again. Figuring out my colors has been making things so much easier! I love it. Thank you for watching!
i use the washable crayola markers too. there have been a couple of times that the marker didn't wash out (on rayon) and it took a couple of tries but the marks did eventually come out. so i wouldn't worry too much about your quilt--i think it should be just fine in the end. your organizational system seems great! i kind of wish i could go back in time and only have a small stash of patterns to choose from but that ship sailed for me a long time ago.
It did finally come out. I hear ya on the patterns. I remember you said you have hundreds 😄 I've been planning to record a 5 essentials video for your hashtag, btw. I have a list but just haven't made the video yet. Great idea! I've enjoyed seeing everyone's videos.
