F1 Manager 24 actually seems like a big step up from last year. Obviously the majority is similiar but still looks pretty nice

This is how the F1 games should evolve year by year, some stuff can be the same due to the short dev time but they have to evolve the game meaningfully too

This such a MASSIVE step up from the last two iterations. '23 felt like a reskin of '22 with a few improvements, but the leap they've made this year truly reflects the developers listening to the community and working on restoring trust.
Stanek and Vershoor being subbed in for Verstappen and Norris respectively is a wild decision, I think the logic needs a bit of work there. 😂
Looks like EA should be taking notes for a game that costs twice as much as what Frontier is charging. Or at least, lower the price... also like what Frontier did.

I think my game plan will be: worst starting position, not taking drivers or staff who already have a place in a rival team at the start, Renault engine (since that’s who you’d get by default irl), full engagement with sponsors - but then balance by having the game on standard (unless it later comes out that that’s way too easy).
Just curious why would you get Renault by default irl. Is it because they don’t already have customer teams?
Yup. Really making me debate actually getting F1 24. I feel like this is going to take up my time and seems more exciting

EA should take notes. especially when it comes to Liveries. THIS is a good Editor.
I agree with some of the others here and think F1 24 will be skipped for this year in favour of this. The pricing is pretty good aswell!
The customization when creating your own team is almost everything I was looking for in the F1 game, the real drivers' helmet getting modify to fits your team is especially the highlight of the whole system!

If 23 was a step up, 24 was a leap forward. Things like tire Trye conservation stats and sponsor specifics were things wanted but didn’t expect this year, bravo frontier!

Lapped cars during safety car was a feature in the last game. I know because it has happened to me a few times.
Actually, I remember it was added in late because players complained (including myself) that it was ruining their race
The MyTeam customization looks boring compared to this now.

I was really hoping for the ability to build our own engines, so I guess Andretti will be running Honda engines.
Game looks pretty good, it's in depth and it's decently priced too, £29.99 for standard and £35.99 for the deluxe edition and that is with the 10% discount until release on steam, I'm glad I'm moving away from EA Sports games to games like FM, Motorsport Manager and F1 Manager.

An odd choice that your starting drivers, facilities and staff don’t come out of your starting budget, but I suppose that allows more player choice
I guess that allows players to start a team as a "top runner" instead of always a backmarker, like the codemasters game.
