For those who care, yes I know continuing to crank it after it wouldn’t start the first time was pointless. And no, I didn’t disconnect the batteries before I layed the truck up for the winter.
It's hard on those trucks when you let them sit. I have two of them I know. That is a really nice unit
i like the way people burn up there starters cranking with dead batteries.diesel need a fast crank to start.
Not worried about burning up the starter. And if it does, I’ll replace it
You’ve got a very clean unit sir, curious if you have any plans under the hood
Thank you! Currently I’m just gonna keep it stock and maintain it. Down the road if money, time, and resources allow for it I would love the get some 160/00 or AC code injectors for it. They came in the t444e variant of the 7.3. Single shot, and just a little more performance than stock. Eventually I’ll either also rebuild the turbo or get a KC300X and maybe a FASS fuel system.
Nice, after a bit of battery juice, she fired right up! sounds good! What are your plans with it now?
I’ll Wait until the salt is completely off-the road before I take it for a drive. Probably just gonna change the fluids and filters and keep driving it. I don’t do a lot of heavy towing, but I do haul my dirt bikes around and enjoy driving it very much. The right rear axle seal is also leaking so I’ll probably end up doing all 4 of those.
Where in the world are you that it’s spring haha I wish it was like that up here in MA, my lbz has been parked for months now I am dying to drive it. I do start it once a week and high idle it up to temp as well as always leave it plugged into a battery maintainer
Funny you should say that, we just got a foot of snow the day after I posted this video and the temps dropped back down to freezing
