Yes, we had that happened twice already this year, that our luggage got delayed. You need to go to the airport lost and found counter with your luggage tag and they should be able to tell you exactly where your luggage is. We received our luggage within 48 hrs.

My sister in law lost was luggage. We call so many number they don't do anything. Then we call Abu Dhabi one guy helped us. Better to go airport. Bcz my sister in law luggage was there but they don't call. Don't know my mind just click told my brother check airport and found it. But she brought some bengali sweets and taler pita it was gone.

Payal Sid bechara is not understanding what's happening before someday he was in different time zone then while adjusting with that it was the time to come here Then again changed time zone.. I remember earlier Rai used to get little stomach problems as she was a kid .. this time she thoroughly enjoy India trip . I also lost my luggage when i was traveling from toronto to Dhaka. I had nothing to wear and was surviving with my aunt's cloth for about a week. When i missed my luggage i immediately went to file missing complain at the airport. As far i remember i had to fill a form with my flight and passport details.I even provided my address where they will send the luggage if found. But finally i got the luggage in a week and they contacted and sent home. I hope this helps. All the best

Hi for lost baggage you have checked In you have to inform the Airlines counter in the Airport which in your case is JFK .Its the dual responsibility of Airlines and Airport staff. Follow up is with the Airlines. Hope this is useful

If you miss your luggage from the airport you should contact the airport authority because I had a problem almost 20 years back and British Airways they drop the luggage back in my house because they lost it but they clearly mentioned if I forgot to collect it from the airport it would not be their responsibility in that case you have to look in the lost and found of the airport the airline takes no ownership

Last August many students who travelled in Etihad Airways to US had lost their luggages. Etihad promptly delivered all the luggages to the students within a month's time. So many times even our luggages were missed during our international travels. But they have always delivered to our home address. Since yours has priority tag on the luggage they will promptly deliver it to you. And they will mail or send message before delivering.

Hi Payal, regarding your lost luggage I would suggest you keep in touch with the airlines rather than wait for them to contact you. I had once lost my luggage from Denver to Lax and although united airlines was assuring us that they will contact us, there was no initiative. I had to call them everyday, send reminders and eventually the bag was found after a week, it stayed back at the Denver airport after check-in!!
Once i lost a suit case..but daily i went and explained them..thung kar chuki o log ko..o pura passengers list bathaake..it sent with some other similer name said..but he did not check in any thing..so every airport they contacted and found my red suitcase bechare akele ghoom rahe the..so i am in CA..it went to cleveland ..they got it and handed over me after 9 days..
Hi Payal, we lost two big suitcases and we never got them. We applied all our shopping bills. But we never got compensation also. If we don't take luggage on time some people will take away the luggage. I lost so many expensive things. If it is with the airways luggage section they will return. If people take it, it is lost.
We had issue with bag exchanged in Goa, India .. we informed in airport and they immediately helped with the baggage number as that helped to track the person and contact him
Two years back on our bangladesh trip my daughter left one suitcase in airport on indigo flight but got it back next day after showing proper identification papers and documents

Payal… we once lost our baggage on itihad. Then too they did not pick up the phone. So my husband went to the airport and spoke it them… They immediately put out a search and we got it within an hour. But that was not New York or JFK… which is a very busy airport plus I don’t know how practical it is for u guys to make a trip to JFK. Hope u get ur luggage soon.
You have to file a complaint with the airlines. They will deliver to your doorstep. I hope you have the slip that they give you when you check-in the luggage. In our case it was the fault of the airlines so it was not a problem.

Keep calling them everyday and if you can even go in person to the Etihad counter. We had lost our lagguage which had all the gifts and everything, took a month to recover that bag. Very stressing!

Hello Dii. I had bad experience with JFK Airport last Wednesday on 2nd when I landed . I was charged $45 for cabin bag which was unnecessary i feel . and receipt was not given its was really pathetic . I had walk from Terminal 1 to 5 very bad experience in JFK Airport.

if no one took it you should find it.. This might be in lost and found at JFK... better to call them then go there and identify your luggage as they do not want to do all that themselves. Personally my sister when we both were traveling had left her carry on at the parking lot and we never found it. But inside the airport I think you will be able to track it down as people would not risk taking someone else's luggage through security/customs.
Hope you all recovered from Jetlag!! Jetlag is terrible for me, takes a week to 10 days to recover from it!!! Glad Sid was healthy, happy in India! 👍 They will keep the suitcases "lost or missing luggage" dept in the last airport you landed sometimes but takes time to trace where it is. For me, they always keep my suitcases for extra "inspection" here because of the Iron Tawa I brought from India and delivered to home themselves next day!!! Still this time, I bought Bluetooth "Luggage tracer" to put in the suitcases so we can trace on the phone where they are at all times, atleast just in case they go missing. Last time in Delhi they lost our luggage, they delivered to the hotel after 2 days promptly!!! How is the Rex puppy doing? 😊
