There is something special about my favorite automotive oil companies and having a lady lovingly clean her AR-15.
Thank for a very informative walk through on cleaning the AR. Great pace and well explained.
Lucas oil is the best choice for me. It won't harm brass. Great for knives and guns ! Very little is needed and it last a long time.
Another reason to like Lucas oil products!
This was a very relaxing AR15 gun cleaning video to watch. I don't fully agree about leaving the BCG dry using contact cleaner, but to each their own. I make sure my Bolt Carrier Group has a nice external and internal coating of Lucas Gun Oil. I also think Lucas Gun Oil smells good, almost like candy.
I don't want my guns smelling like candy
@@johnwalker984 Then Shoot It And It Will Smell Like Cordite 💨💨💨🔫😀
@@johnwalker984 Who cares?
@@johnwalker984 I would like my gun looks like candy, but also very deadly at the same time.
Love Lucas Extreme Duty Gun Oil 😀❤️❤️😊👍🏼 Thank You For Making Great Products Lucas Crew 😀
I shoot black powder traditional I picked this up at autozone because I some what collect gun oil to test them I used this stuff and was hooked I have a 50 cal that I’ve been testing for now 8 years and still no rust on the barrel so this is the oil for me for sure
Nice video! I do recommend wearing gloves though when doing this. Loved the opening as well!
that opening... i regret having headphones on LOL
That's $20 worth of bore solvent that was dumped in that container.
Yeah, I noticed she dumped the bottle in there. Subliminal salesmanship for Lucas products. Now that's as slick as their oils!😉👍
You can use a funnel and pour it back into the container. Soaking parts, especially longer than in this video, IS a good idea if you take a more leisurely pace. Go do something else, then come back after the solvent has had some time to loosen fouling and carbon deposits. If you're really picky, you can funnel it through a filter, or a paper towel to occlude the solid particles that may be floating in it. This is a good idea for other solvents too, like Purple Degreaser and EvapoRust. Keep reusing it until its cleaning power is diminished, then discard.
very helpful and satisfing
how much money did you spend cleaning that gun?
Does the Lucas contact cleaner expire? Had bought one 18 months ago and used it today but it came out like a jelly paste that actually ate up a plastic tray from the gun cleaning box... would this had destroyed the polymer frame before testing it on the plastic?
What is difference between lucas extreme duty gun clean and extreme duty contact cleaner?
Is the contact cleaner safe for chrome lined barrels?
Still had Ammo I the mag when you removed it lol, which means the shit was still loaded. Damn
Your point
Having a loaded magazine in your gun doesn't mean the chamber is loaded too, genius
"Would yah just look at it!"
Who taught her how to clean a firearm ? Egadss !!!!!!!
apparently when you work for lucas oil you can just waste a 1/3 of your solvent to clean a gun? must be nice but does not seem practical for the consumer.
what she poured into the container is ultra sonic solvent. it's meant to be a soaker coating. If you don't have a US cleaner, just pour it back into the bottle and you're good to go for next time.
Buy a tube of red and tacky Lucas grease for $8 and get 10 oz. Of the same grease they charge $13 in a 1 oz tube for guns.
Oh so you use me for cleaning ok
After all that contact cleaner (and bore solvent), you are going to ruin your AR if you don't lube it up. Very misleading. I thought the only lube is in the CLP but she blast it with contact cleaner after she used the CLP.
I highly doubt that one patch of cleaner cleaned the barrel that great the first pass, then only one clean dry patch comes out super clean! That is BS!
Did you want to watch her run 20 patches down that barrel before moving on to the next step?
@@yotamann1996 lmao
I mean if you clean your barrel regularly, it won't get that dirty to begin with
@@aj897 how many rounds do you fire outta your firearm in one session? I shoot a few hundred and it takes a while to clean the barrel after every session. It you shoot 1 or 2 rounds, sure it probably can be cleaned with one patch. Honestly no one wastes a range trip to shoot 1 or 2 cartridges .
@@aj897 I clean my barrel when I get home from the range every time and I go through quite a bit of patches. That's cleaning it after shooting. Isn't that "regularly cleaning " ? I mean they're selling us a product and want to exaggerate how clean it leaves your barrel. If your a gun person you know that's all a show.
Lol 3 rounds .... now lets clean the gun. 3 mags maybe.
Swabitz work better that qtips
Ok wot dirtbike
Yes 6 like and first comment
people clean these guns way too much..my ar is forming diamonds with all the carbon in it and hasn't missed a beat wipe it off , oil it and shoot, and that CAT tool will ruin your bolt tail fyi
Way to complicated, talk about making something easy into something difficult. I’ve never done the bore solvent or the contact cleaner to COP rags in a bore snake and some patches.
Why is this woman cleaning that poor rifle? A man is more gentle.
