My right knee was fully replaced without any pre-op exercises. My left knee was scheduled for a full replacement approximately 4 months later. Knowing that, I started researching pre-op procedures. After 1st viewing this video, it seemed helpful and made sense to me. So I practiced the exercises religiously. I was impressed with the results after the second full knee replacement, and so was the PT who worked with me at the hospital where both surgeries were performed. The phrase, “You’ll be ahead of the game”, is absolutely true. The commercial for the knee glide…meh. It may help to make it easier, but I did well without it and I’m pleased with these gentlemen knowledge and experience. It made a huge difference. My wife said I was 2 weeks ahead of the game and she couldn’t believe the difference. She ought to know, because she was my coach, as well as my rock. Thanks Bob & Brad.

Going for a MUA week from today. I have only 105 degrees of flexion after 9 weeks so my doctor said I needed it and he would like to get it done before the 3 month time. The pain sucks now and hope it gets better. Missing my kayaking and just doing things without pain. Thanks

My father in law had his knee replaced. He said he had less pain after the surgery, but he never regained anything like the same mobility that he had before the operation.

I finally have a knee glide. When I use it with the raised end away from me, I feel my hamstring stretching. Then, when I turn it around, I feel my quad stretching and tightening. Am I doing it wrong???

Ted Thetford I used a non-stick cookie sheet and a towel. Works great and probably already in the house. My knee was replaced 2 1/2 years ago and the best advice I received was go for pre-op therapy. Recovery went well and quickly. Golfed 10 weeks after surgery.

Did you start off REALLY SLOWLY, and for a very short time? If so, ASK your DOCTOR what you can do. Seems like you have to ba able to MOVE in order for the replacement to work. Pester your doctor, have them refer you to a therapist. Don't just do nothing because it hurts!
