Thank you Fabio for this walk through. You really do a great job showing us what these are capable of. 🙂

Nice! Would have loved to see how you handled CC 8 and CC 11 at the same time. Being new to the MIDI world I have no clue where CC 8 usually sits. Any chance you could drop a line and explain? I have a Komplete Kontrol S88 MK2: what would I have to do to control CC 8 (and CC 11) from my keyboard AND still being able to play the right hand? Thank you! 👋

What is the difference between the "VelXF Sus - MOD" and the "VelXF - MOD" patches?? They both load the instrument with MOD wheel changing the dynamic layer of the instrument and basically sound the same. Why include both? Makes no sense to me and totally confuses people which set of patches to use. Velocity crossface is obvious.

Hey Scott! "VelXF - Mod" will set all articulations to Mod Wheel controlled, "VELXF Sus - Mod" will only set sustained articulations to Mod Wheel controlled and articulations like shorts to key Velocity controlled. - Ben

@@ViennaSymphonicLibrary Excellent! That is brilliant and perfect! Obviously we want the shorts to change dynamics with how hard we play but the sustains to be controlled by our midi controller fader. I'll be loading the "sus - mod" patches only.
The secondary question would be why include "VelXF - Mod" patches at all? Who would want a shorts patch that changes dynamic level via a midi cc message? Does anyone do that? It seems this patch set just confuses people and especially new people working with samples with patches that I've never heard of anyone using.
Maybe you guys should get rid of those patches completely or offer as some sort of "extra" download because I am certain I am not the only one confused by these and will never use them. Just something to think about--- often simpler is better then trying to give everyone too many options especially ones hardly anyone uses.

There are people out there that like to control everything via Mod-Wheel :)

@@ViennaSymphonicLibrary Cool. I've never met one and other sample libraries don't seem to make those types of patches but do what you think is best of course

I love your Synchron software and your Vienna ensemble, they are magnificent. But his instruments sound very artificial to my ears. I hope that in the future they improve the sampling process and that it sounds more real.
