Wow this is exactly what I'm after! Just purchased VFR and will do IFR next. Been a simmer for a long time but definitely lacking in a lot of basic skills that you'd get in a PPL.
For me there is a easy way to learn how to land a little plane: First: choose a little airfield with a long runway (your new home :) Second: find the circuit of this aerodrome and fly it again and again in the same given height. The wind direction tells you how to fly this circuit, clockwise or counterclockwise. Third: Coose a point in this circuit to reduce the rpm to idle and hold the height (this is important to learn where this point is and windspeed, winddirection and each plane will influence this point). If the plane is slow enough start to descent, put landing gears out and set flaps step by step. Target (with your plane) the beginning of the runway. Now you will see, if you are to high, the plane gets faster (set flaps earlier, slip or set the start of descent earlier) or to low, the plane gets slower (use the engine to reach the runway / a good pilot dont need that / or start descent later). Fourth: near ground pull elevator to let the plane fly horizontal very near of the runway. I think, "this is the way" (The Mandalorian) Sorry for my english :)

@Micah I would highly recommend it on Xbox! I'm not a pilot, nor do I plan on becoming one, but I am looking for real-life skills/knowledge within the Sim itself. This course feels like real flight lessons to me. I also find the written guide/manual you get with the course very well done. Definitely check it out if you can!
No I guess you missunderstood me, I want to solve these items but i dont get the correct orders in the right time ( imhO) in the 2nd stage e.g. I didn´t get the command to turn right into RW direction, even If I pass the car factory... That´s the reason why I want to see if there are an issue on my side or if there is a general Trouble

I have had the Reverb G2 on order for many months now - keep getting emails telling me my delivery has been delayed. Looking forward very much to trying them out (when they do eventually arrive!) with these learning packages. This prompts me to mention a very desirable but missing feature from the sim,that of instant replay which I believe is somewhat on the back burner where Microsoft and Asobo are concerned.My hope is that it will eventually appear with as many extra bells and whistles as the sim will allow and hopefully the cessation of the annoying lack of a replay of my crashes which currently just bounces me back to the options menu.The Condor glider sim was giving gory crash replays years ago,so I know it's possible.....................
I am not very happy yet. I was doing IFR 03 and I followed the instructions to the point where I was basically turning around I reset my yellow arrow and then I followed the flying course past the coast and out into the ocean ad-infinitum and nobody ever talked to me again. I was at the proscribed 2000 feet and had been following all of the instructions. I did this twice in ended up at the same place. Then I tried IFR 04. I reached the point to follow course and heading 130. I did this and then flew out into the ocean completely away from where I had started. Another dead end. Considering one cannot pause this simulation, yes not for reasons that you are responsible for, the instructions come extremely quickly sometimes for one who is not versed in this equipment yet. Not to mention the fact that in both missions normally my pilot instructor would have said something to me to indicate that I am not following the right track or that I have not done the right thing and in this case or in both cases nothing like that has occurred. In the first two missions, everything worked, including the instructor chastising me when I went astray. For me, this just does not really work (yet?).
The issue of not providing corrective instructions is a considerable limitation of the software, according to the developer this is due to limitations with the SDK. There is a link to the developer in the notes below the video, if you feel there is an error let them know. They are very responsive and forthcoming. Also check you have the latest version. I have done module 4 and didn’t experience any problems from what I recall. Regards Post note....sorry I was referring to VFR 03.
I have both vfr and ifr. i enjoy it a lot , but there are some bugs with some of the missions some the important instructions dont trigger now and then module 7 and 4 in vfr seem to be bugged sometimes , but overall i like the package.

December 20th. Mark, Ive tried to download FS Academy VFR four different times and still nothing shows up in Activities. I emailed them tonight and cant take advantage of the special sale price they have till tonight....I dont know what to do! H E L P...
Hi, the download will show under activities and then the last menu item….I think it is called special content or something similar. Used to be under bush trips, but it moved in one of the sim updates.

I Don't understand how in the tests it can say straight away you've failed but in training nothing. It would even be helpful for a " can repeat that " button if you miss heard something. In mountain flying my plane completely froze over with ice and no help from the trainer.
@@SimHangerFS Ah, makes sense! Spent most of my life in Pretoria, and there was a hint of something familiar. Though it was fairly subtle; definitely not the heavy/overdone accents that hollywood likes to use for the entire region :)
This may be a stupid question, but before I set my money into it, I'm interested to know, how compares it to the build in flight lessons (that got an update, not soo long ago)?
@@SimHangerFS I got it in the end. There are some really useful stuff which is similar to what my real life instructor has said. The main issues with it is that the lesson goes out of sync when you mess up headings. overall it's good, i hope they fix those issues though

It keeps repeating the same instriction and you end uo flying the sane direction for hours!!!!! Do not buy it, if you have xbox x!!!

You have the option to increase the level of immersion in these tutorials by doing the lessons in VR. Something RW pilots will find especially useful.

Hi David, I haven’t tried module 4 but have 7 on two occasions, no problems for me so far.
I have tried module 4 and the instructions are definitely incorrect because it does not send you on the correct heading
