Pat played a great mom. She was pretty, charming and held her ground. She should be proud of her character.
Ya she was cool and smart, one of my favorite TV moms.
I want to dedicate this to my son cause this was his favorite Show for yrs. I remember us watching this yrs ago and now long before he went to heaven on Oct 7 last yr.Davys Mom
@Kimberly Abner so sorry for your loss. Much love and prayers🙏❤
God bless your son. 🙏
I'm sorry about that.
May he rest in peace.
Very sorry for your loss.
❤❤❤❤
The special effects on Home Improvement were brilliantly done
And first ever in a TV show.
Yeah, those transitions from one scene to the next were clever.
Thank GOD we ended up with the Jill , AL and Wilson that we did. There could be no others. R.I.P. Wilson, you're never gone.
🛠🕗
AMEN! Johnathan Adams did a nice Wilson hommage on Last Man Standing. He's a very nice person to chat with!
"do something radical where the family loves each other" thats funny shit
Pat and Tim were perfect! The whole cast was!
I’m 58 and Home Improvement is STILL my favorite show….EVER!!❤️❤️
Damn, old man putting your age out there lol
I still watch the reruns of this wonderful show.
I have all seasons on dvd, love this show then in the 90’ S, and I’m not American, I am Dutch. Love this show❤️❤️❤️
So all you have to do is to tell me where you live, so I can raid your house ;)
Oh we could share a beer and grunt. I don't care either way. I neeeeeed them ;)
As a residential GC, I still grunt when I'm excited about a project, and do the ughrrra? when I have questions for our Sub Contractors on a daily basis. A show for all time and nothing less.
I’ve never loved a show more than Home Improvement!!.. sure I’ve watched others, but none come close to the laughter and love I felt from Home Improvement!!.. I still miss this show to this day, and if I ever catch wind of a rerun being on.. I’m cleaning my calendar to watch it, I’ll never forget the pilot, with Tim and Mark powering up the dishwasher.. Pure Gold
One of the best Bio's I have ever seen. It's great to see some of the characters doing cameo appearances on "Last Man Standing."
just finished watching all 8 seasons….having a hard time leaving the 90s lol
Grew up watching this show. Needed that humor and it played a good part in becoming a handyman ( Jack of all trades ) 👍😉 which has played an enormous part in surviving.
Thank you Tim Allen and all involved in
🇺🇸HOME IMPROVMENT🇺🇸
We need more shows like this !
Amen
But now we have moms that wont want it on the air ! Because they let the t.v. show raise there kids .
You won't get anything like this in today's social climate. It will be deemed highly offensive, white washed reeking of privilege which doesn't address any of the important issues of the current time. Entertainment can no longer be entertainment.
@@steveleaman5343 check out Tim's modern show, Last Man Standing. It shares a lot of the qualities of Home Improvement and is a complete outlier in the culture that has taken absolute control over media.
@@steveleaman5343 Well said. The liberals act like everyone should stop everything they’re doing and make sure we do what they think is important. It’s complete bull sh*t.
Had to watch this as Home Improvement is one of my all time favorite shows.. Seriously they hit it on the head when they mentioned that it wasn't all about blowing up toasters but also about the family dynamic. The double meaning of the title Home Improvement was nothing short of genius. When I look at the shows that eventually overtook the show in ratings, they were nothing in comparison.
This show was perfect in so many ways. I was only 2 when it started, but I remember it very fondly. It was a huge part of my childhood, and when Tim Allen started Last Man Standing.. it became a huge part of my 20's as well haha. Love Tim Allen!
He had many more then 3 sons. He taught me to grunt and I still do to this day!
One of the greatest shows ever made!!! Wish they could bring it back.
i was born in 1985 this was my favorite show growing up in the 1990s
enrique fernandez I was born in 1990 this was my fave show
I was born in 1993 and I watched two seasons in 1995 and 1996 not season 7 in 1998 and season 8 in 1999 I was mad
All the surviving cast needs to come back together in a similar fashion as the Friends reunion. Would be great to see them all together again
One of my all time favorite shows! I grew up with Home Improvement. I can watch it over and over and it never gets old. I can't even imagine how it was for the cast while filming the last episode. Seeing the pictures and them talking about it brings tears to MY eyes too!
Too bad JTT wasn't around for that show.
Not-so-smart aleck um why does Zachery Ty Bryan look dehydrated in the photo at 42:22?
Critic: How many toasters can Tim blow up?
Tim: How many toasters have you got?
And nowadays the kids ask: How many CPUs can Linus drop :D The answer is still: As many as AMD and Intel give to us :D
I love this series so much...I never had a family with Mom and Dad present...matter of fact my childhood was pretty terrifying so Home Improvement is one of my alltime favourite shows...wish it didnt have to end. Comedy is very important to me - its like chicken soup for my soul. Thank you kindly for creating this life saving show! :)
It's 2018 and I am still recognizing the way these artists and their stories blessed me and my family through our early family years. Thanks.
I will Always love Patricia Richardson. Tim Allen He's kind of Funny!!! Lol. I Miss that Show
this show was effing awesome !!!
1991 "The economy was in recession"
Bless their little hearts. They thought they knew what a recession looked like.
Unfortunately we're saddled with the old fart
Grew up watching Home improvement. My two favorite comedians Tim Allen and Robin Williams hands down.
I loved this show, but it is always time to go at some point. It is life. I am glad we all had a chance to watch Tim and Jill raise their boys and watch Tim do something incredibly silly, but even more join in that sense of family. My family was a rocky mess. This family made me laugh and feel warm and care for the characters and understand my own family.
Thanks Home Improvement.
Patricia Richardson sold this show, I watched just to see her!!!
Haut
Yep she made it
Yes indeed!
Ya missed a good show.
One of my favorite shows.
Patricia is AWESOME!
Best old show ever!
Home improvement is by far one of the best shows that has ever aired. Everything about it is just a masterpiece. I could never ask for a better cast on the show. Home Improvement always makes me laugh. I'm so proud of the amount of hard work they put into this show to make us laugh and feel happy. I also wanna thank the producers, writers, etc for making this beautiful show.
Still one of the greatest shows out there 💝 Thanks for sharing, very enjoyable 👍
Seriously one of the best shows on TV in the 90s. The comparisons to real American Life are hilarious. My dad got his balls snipped not long after that episode aired.. actually my brother in law did too ha! It was like a family agreement to have the males neutered that year. Both of them laying around the house moaning while the women grilled out. My older brother opted out of the procedure but had a great time laughing with the ladies in the family. Good times! Great childhood memories connected with this show xoxo
Yikes, TMI
I can't fully Express my feelings of this Show,cast..I LOVE this show and the Exceptional people that brought &STILL brings my such joy happiness & laughter EVERYTIME I see an episode ! 🤗
I really loved this show! It was one of the very best shows ever on tv, if not the best. I miss it. Thank you to all the people who acted in it and all the people who helped to make it the great show that it was! Thank you so much!! It was a part of my life, a very good part.
I felt thr same it was brilliant
I watch Home improvement every day still. It's on Hulu
I had the privilege of meeting Richard Karn the week my daughter was born. It was at a home remodeling expo, and he ended up contacting the event coordinator and asked how my wife's delivery turned out. The coordinator gave me an address, and I contacted him and the cast and told them how everything went.
Mr. Karn was even nice and answered my one question that bothered me when I asked, "What does Wilson look like?" He also looked into my video camera and said, "I don't think so!"
Great show great cast! It was my favorite and I like watching it again and again. Can the producers think of Home Improvement 2 with the Taylor kids having a family of their own, Tim and Jill as grandparents and yes of course, Al in it too. Am I asking too much?😊
Ninna Stadther I would want little Al's too, and he could put his flannel on them like his dad did
I think not, Ooooohh
Ooooohh Oooohh!😆👍
🏡🏡
👶👶👶👶👴👵👩👨
+ennui blue OMG, little Al Borlands with their little flannel shirts and their little beards too... Yikes! ;)
My mom and I used to watch this show all the time when I was little. Now that Disney Plus has all 8 seasons, we are reliving the old days
Talk about a superb cast.
Now I like the show even more, thanks a lot for uploading this documentary :)
I think, Wilson was a great idea of a character. Earl Hindman RIP
Yes. You are a funny looking character
@@elmysteriousman9908 Freedom of speech does not include insulting other people. I was talking about how amazing of an actor Earl Hindman was, meanwhile you attack me personally.
@@joaquinpraveenvishnu8509 is that so? Oh i didn't mean to insult you miss. I was trying to say the same thing you basically said. That Wilson was a great actor. I love Home Improvement so don't get it twisted!
I was lucky enough to watch Tim Allen's stand up routine about tools ,I believe it was on Evening at the Improv. Tim, tore it up that night. I can remember at one point Tim said that he had tools to fix tools... I lost it. When the word got out that they were making it in to a sitcom I thought to myself this is going to be good, but I had no idea it was going to be that good. What made it even better was that in 1990 I had my one and only child... a son and we would watch the show together. When he got a little older I got him a toy toolbelt for Christmas one year, complete with plastic tools and that ended up being his costume for Halloween that year. GOOD SHOW...GOOD TIMES...GREAT MEMORIES.
I think that the reason it was canceled was not the "boredom" but that Jonathon Taylor Thomas left, I think it hurt all of the cast badly and they couldn't recover from it. To me, it wasn't the same after he left, like a huge vacuum that could never be filled by anyone else.
I think what killed the show (boredom, yes) was the kids growing up. That's happened to a lot of family shows. Adopting (IIRC) or at least casting those little girls really didn't help the ratings. I miss it as well, but it was time to go.
The boys grew up and the show can last only so long. Fantastic show!
*FUN FACT* : The show was actually Tim's idea. This show makes it sound like they thought of it. They came to Tim with a bunch of projects that essentially were tv series based off movies, like Turner and hooch, Dead Poets Society, etc) Ad Tim said No, I wanna do like a spoof of home improvement shows like Bob villa, but I want to be a screw up, etc. He held out and eventually Disney agreed. The rest, as they say, is history.
Best show ever! I loved it!!
+James Justice yes
I enjoyed this. Home Improvement was one of my favorite shows.
I love this show. You can't beat these sitcoms. They are the best ever.
"Responsible maniacs." LOL
Best show of the 90's.
I used to work nights, so I wish all the shows go on CZcams, as that's all I have. Please!
I talked to someone from Detroit, asked her what her first impression of my city was. "It's so run-down and dingy, everything is crumbling." Yup, New York City is about thirty years behind Detroit in competency and upkeep.
Thanks for the memories y'all, this is by far one of the best TV shows ever. 🤟
Better times unlike now, the family are all busy with each own gadget
I love this show !!!!!
I love Home Improvement so very much and I hope they will get picked up by TBS or someone to show all the great episodes of this awesome show, you just don't get to see many great comedy shows like Home Improvement!!!
Comes on laff tv
Buy the disks, then you don't have to deal with the cuts and the commercials.
Greatest Comedy ever.
God how I loved an love this show! My childhood wouldn’t be nearly as awesome without this show.
To this day this is still one of my all-time favorite shows!!!
“IT WAS LIKE KISSING YOUR AUNT” LMAOOO
My aunt said I had the strongest tongue in the family.
I do remember this show growing up in the 90s but mainly the theme song with Tim Allen's signature "AEUUUUH??!" I was 2 when it started and 10 when it ended. Kind of wish I was older. I would've watched it haha. I also wondered where the hell the grunting came from. =P
I loved this show growing up but it was clearly running out of steam near the end. But they don't make family sitcoms as good as this anymore. No way they could make this today.
Of course they could make it today, if they hadn't already made it before...not with the same actors, though. But I agree that TV shows in general, or at least sitcoms, aren't as good nowadays as they used to be.
@@not-so-smartaleck8987 and the feeling to bring
Also: It says much of actors, when they decide, that they don't go with the money, but leave the show on a high note alone. There are so many shows, which cult status was in a part destroyed because of an awful last season.
The one show I wish they would bring back
Zach looks so adorable and Jonathan looks so handsome
I didn't know I needed this. I grew up on this show.
good flash back look at the show
thanks
Thank you for posting this the 90's were great I was only 11 when this show ended but I still love it
BrianFalconsFan2 i was 9
AWESOME A HALF HOUR OF POWER ON HOME IMPROVEMENT !!!
At 6:03, when Tim says "LISTEN TO ME" I think that is one of the funniest lines in the whole show. Just the context and the delivery because he is talking about something that they know is humor but its like he gets mad and wants them to pay attention because it has some truth to it.
I miss this show. I loved it so much.
Funny, I have Home Improvement playing on my TV right now!
This is good video. I own the series so I can watch when ever I get in the mood.
Watching in 2021. Loved that series.
I loved the show
This is by far one of the greatest family sitcoms that has ever aired. I love how relatable and real Home Improvement was, and how funny it was and still is 20 or 30 years later. I could never ask for a better cast, they were all mean't to be in a beautiful show like Home Improvement. Their chemistry was so strong like they were actually a real family tackling real issues. No words can describe how much Respect I have for the creators, directors, cast members, etc. Home Improvement will always be my number one show to watch. I love Home Improvement much!!❤️
When they did the final episodes, I was about to move out of home, miles away from my family.
And in the episodes, you had Jill talking of taking a job in another state, and the family moving....and I was going through exactly the same emotions!!! I was thinking this is too close to how I'm feeling, it's cut right to the bone.
Debbie and Patricia are the two babes from home improvement.
Most people, I think, felt like the Taylor’s were apart of their family, I certainly did. I remember going to work and all the guys would be talking and laughing about what had happened on Tool Time. That show put humor in our lives when the our world was at war!
It's a bummer that 'Home Improvement' reruns aren't shown on tv anymore. I've seen it a couple times, I think it was on the Hallmark channel, but Nick at Night or TBS needs to pick it up. There are still a lot of people who would watch it, especially now that kids who grew up watching it are now in our 30's.
I agree with you 100% that they should show Home Improvement reruns like on TBS because it was such a wonderful show for everyone of all ages. It is on the Hallmark Channel every Friday 8 to 8:30 p.m. and 8:30 to 9 p.m. eastern time. This would be awesome to see more often and one other show that I really enjoyed the show Coach I would like to see someone pick it up as well and run the reruns! These shows would be great to watch early in the morning or late at night, so I hope they get picked up soon!!!
Reruns are now playing on the Hallmark channel Monday - Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm and it's the best thing ever
Netflix definitely needs to jump on this, but Hallmark is showing it in the afternoon/evening!
The good news is that in January Home Improvement will go back to it's regular schedule, so it says from the Hallmark Channel. I am glad that I have 48 recorded on my DVR, I did have over 100 plus shows recorded but I erased ones that were from the last 3 Seasons or so because had to much space that it was taking up and I figured that after I had watched first several seasons it would just rerun then again but now I could kick myself For erasing half of them like I said at least I have almost 50 episodes and that will get me through the next two months until January when the show returns to its reruns back on the Hallmark Channel. I would love to see them bring back the show COACH with Craig T. Nelson as Hayden Fox and Jerry Van Dyke as Luther Van Damme. COACH is a great show to watch early in the morning so I wish tbs or another Network would pick up the show COACH! I hope there are a lot of COACH fans out there that would like to see its reruns!!!
Simon here in new Zealand they played it lots on free TV channel 2 and then a channel called prime now since a month ago its been playing on tvnz duke TV channel and I still watch it every day even tho I've seen it to death and have it on dvd and watched every ep on CZcams last year
This touched me amazing show really a huge part of my development
Such a great classic show. Amazing cast and full of stomach laughs!
Love this show , watch it all the time .
enjoyed this very much. thank you.
Even in college, you could tell that Tim Allen had star power.
I truly truly loved this show!
They are really down-to-earth. I think that was their charm, on and off the camera.
'Course being a suburban Detroiter it was very relatable. But in a broader remembrance one uses the term comfort food; this show was very much comfort show. That's why the finale was so touching, It was really sad to say goodbye.
that ending... :( Miss this show so much.
39:40 Speaking of "endings", the Simpsons did a spoof on another 90s show that I think was called After the Laughter, or Behind the Laughter--I guess one of those was the real show (that got behind-the-scenes dirt on individual actors in some OTHER real shows, and/or on those actors not getting along with each other off-screen, etc.), and the other one was the Simpsons' spoof--where, after a lot of bickering and infighting amongst the Simpons family members (particularly when they were onstage at the Iowa state fair), a voiceover guy says, "The dream...was over", followed by, "Coming up next: Was the dream really over? Yes, it was. Or was it?" So funny...
I was hooked first time I saw the show: This is just like my marriage. How did they know? I have so much to say about the show like when Al called a paint color "cantaloupe" and when Mr Toolman in tuxedo dancing with his wife who dropped her robe. And the neighbor giving sage advice over the fence. And my favorite line: wake up to make-up. A great show
"Who's gonna teach the boys to be men?"
This would be very inappropriate in today's standards, haha
Love home improvement. Great show and great cast. Bring it back
Love this show.
Still Watching 👍🏻👍🏻
just a wonderful show full of wonderful memories... thank you for this program
It was a truly great show.
loved this show
