Many mistakes are made very often, this shows how serious these mistakes can be. Some videos have even been cut short to not show any injuries.
This is a reminder of how important it is to obey the traffic rules to make the road safer for all of us.

How do these people get licenses?! You can't relax, you have to be watching out for them all the time while you drive :(
Honestly, I hope you do that when driving all the time just as well. Some drivers might not be conscious bad drivers but simply make a very dangerous mistake after a miscalculation or having a vehicle disappear into the A-style of their doors, since these are getting increasingly thicker due to all safety systems like sideways deploying airbags and all that kind of stuff, whole cars can disappear behind them (which is why my driving instructor was absolutely notorious for requesting me to not only look in the direction of the turn I wanted to make, but move my head back and forwards a bit as well so the chances of a vehicle or three cyclists appearing out of nowhere are smaller.)
My theory book clearly stated in what basically was the first paragraph in the book: "You have to concentrate and devote all your attention to other drivers while controlling a motor vehicle. You will be required to correct the mistakes of all other drivers to avoid accidents at all times! Keep in mind no driver is as competent as you! "
That last part is a bit of a sarcastic note on how people are quickly to overstate their quality of driving but is also meant as a heads up to suspect the unexpected always.
That’s kinda the whole point of driving tho. You aren’t really supposed to relax. If you do start to relax and get comfortable then you become one of these people.
That's why I don't drive lol
when hazardous conditions are on the road i can get the occasional accident, but there’s just too many idiots to even take a breather.
You should never be relaxed whilst driving, that's exactly how you become unable to react to road hazards in time.

7:30 The SUV towing the trailer is highly illegal. If I was still a LEO (retired), I'd seriously consider taking the driver's license after issuing the driver a citation. The driver can get it back in court.

How on earth did the driver of the white car get a driver's license? I get that the ground was slippery (ice probably) but it looks like they're deliberately crashing into other vehicles instead of at least slowing down and stopping.

Do American driving schools do any kind of hazard perception test? I know some of these people encounter idiot drivers, but the driver at 06:50 should've been able to see that white pick up ages off and yet they don't make any attempt to slow down slightly, they just barge on through. Wazzok!

There's a lot more to it than just seeing and stopping. you have to take into account that the driver behind you could be extremely shit at braking so u need to check ur rear view mirror first....it's america after all. and secondly, on a serious note, many people who pull out, switch between looking left and right; which means that they might see u and stop before you get to them which means you dont need to stop at all. This ultimately would mean they could quickly slip in behind you without them blocking the other lane. However, it would probably be the safest for these two cars if they simply stopped.

7:37 With how many bad drivers there are, I’m convinced who ever decided to start installing roundabouts everywhere wanted to ensure complete mayhem.
Roundabouts are not that complicated and work everywhere else and traffic flows faster than with lights. Maybe some public educational films about how to use them would be a good idea in the states
@@marklawes1859 Not gonna help since I assume everyone who gets a license goes through a written and driving test and yet we have hundreds of clips like the ones here. People are stupid and if they can’t seem to understand green is good and red is bad or stop means stop, they will fuck up anything else.

I broke in on traffic circles while living in Germany. Have never had a problem. Just remember four important things:
1. A restricted traffic circle, with yield signs upon entry, means those already within the circle have the right of way.
2. An unrestricted traffic circle with no yield signs means those entering the circle have the right of way (you can thank the French for that one).
3. Use your turn signal while on the circle.
4. Never, ever, never stop while in the circle. You won't miss your exit, it will show up again.

Think this is bad? Try driving in Mexico. This video would be viewed as a training manual. Indicators only to be used at Christmas. The right of way at junctions is decided either by who has the biggest cajones, or both cars stopped dead, the drivers looking at each other, waiting for the other to move. Needless to say every journey is punctuated by multi car smashes.
