    Cloth pad user for 6+ years and I’ve done it all. To maintain them I like to throw them into a bin after each use and not even bother washing them each day. Once my cycle is over I take the bin to the shower squirt some dawn soap on there and fill out with hot water then I use my hands to agitate and squeeze the pads and swish them around I empty it and do that one or two more times drain the water take the bin to the washer dump them in use regular detergent of your choice + oxy powdered detergent like the Ariel kind do a hot cycle with two rinses throw in the dryer and call it a day. I obviously disinfect and clean my tub out after (I like to use a spray bottle with 10-20% bleach rest water spray the tub let it sit for like 5 mins and then rinse the tub) washing every pad or everyday took too much time and the method I use I’ve never had a stain and I have the exact pads I started this journey with so that tells you a lot. If you have a pad that you think will stain what I do is use a zote bar rub it all over the pad real good before putting them in the wash as an added step.

    Your period sounds like how mine goes. I love cloth pads! I've been using them almost 12 years. I will never go back. I actually found that once I switched, didn't bleed quite as heavy and I nolonger have cramps! I'm so glad I found cloth. When I started out, I used pads similar to the ones you have. Now I prefer cloth pads from etsy shops. There are so many different varieties. I'm actually looking into getting at custom order and I actually have some new pads on the way to try out. I'm trying to find pads that will work best for my heaviest days. Have you heard of gusher pads?

      That's so amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your experience! I actually hadn't heard about gusher pads before

      @@MariolaMichelleRodriguez I actually haven't tried them yet but I have one in the mail right now that I'm going to try. I have problems with leaks off the sides or actually wicking from the edges and wings onto my underwear. I have found two styles that work much better for this problem. I just hadn't really started needing oit until now, or maybe I just didn't let the small leaks bother me. It could take a bit to explain. I'll share a link to my video about them when I do my unboxing video!

    This is such a new concept, but it’s about time! I also would have concerns about those heavy days, especially the pad length. Appreciate your review!

    • @MariolaMichelleRodriguez
      @MariolaMichelleRodriguez  Před 2 lety +1

      Agreed! So innovative & should've been here forever ago lol. That was my main concern as well, which is why I'm super excited to try out their heavier flow ones for those days. Thanks for watching! 💖

    • @JJamiah
      @JJamiah Před rokem +1

      It’s not a new concept. It’s the original concept, brought into today! Like bell bottoms and platforms!

  • @TheCookingChronicleswithIngrid

    I think this would be great for my teenager. I have more of a heavier flow so I may be a little skeptical to wear it!

    • @MariolaMichelleRodriguez
      @MariolaMichelleRodriguez  Před 2 lety

      I totally feel you! I felt the same way with the heavy flow days, so I don't blame you lol

    • @JJamiah
      @JJamiah Před rokem

      Don’t be skeptical. Just change often until you figure out your flow needs and buy the longer pads.

    I hate getting my period in the middle of the day. I just cracked up ( this one is clean ) is there a reason it’s only hand washing. I would really be interested in using them but I don’t want to hand wash it lol.

      @iridianllamas4737 Před 2 lety +2

      I’ve been using reusable pads for 6 years now. You can definitely machine was them. These have polyurethane laminate so these are recommended to air dry for a longer life span, but if you buy ones with water resistant fleece you can throw them in the dryer.

      ugh same here! It's a horrible surprise lol. I decided to hand wash them on my first use just to be careful, but the HighOh website says you can hand wash or wash them in the laundry but recommend you air dry these specifically.
