    This was crazy helpful! I've been looking into trying to make my own and often times resource pages are very vague. I really appreciate your knowledge!

    Thank you for talking about core fabric for home sewers. I want to make a bunch to send to south Africa for young girls and homeless to have some dignity but need to keep costs low so I can make more

    I adore Minky! I bought a "Gothic Scale" pad and panty liner. Loved them! Perfect for winter, relaxing at home. I am currently awaiting an order that is all Minky! I bought an Emerald pad, a couple more Gothic Scale, and a couple of the Rainbow Leopard shown here. I'm keeping my eye open for any new Minky prints this winter!
    I found that for running around at work, when you're hot and can only get to the bathroom once or twice a shift, the Pique is best.
    Thank you for explaining the fabrics to us.

    I've been on my cloth journey for lil over a year and it took me awhile to realize different topper fabrics did different things. This is a great video!! I mostly have cotton Lycra pads but wish to try minky & pique at least once but they're always gone 😂 I wanted to get the mushroom one you guys had but it sold out next time I looked

      The popular designs tend to go quick for sure. Hopefully you see something you like that you’re able to grab eventually!

    I wore fabric pads for over 25 years. It was nice not to have plastic on me, and it seemed my period lasted less. For anyone worred about it, buy a few and try it out.

    Could you please share if you use polyester or cotton thread in your serger and sewing machine. Thanks for this Awesome informative video.

    • @softtacoreusables
      @softtacoreusables  Před 9 měsíci +6

      100% polyester serging thread. Cotton can cause the fluid to wick around the stitching onto the back side of the pad

      It’s ok. It’s pretty cozy which is nice. Similar wicking rate to a Cotton Lycra I’d say. It does pill and wear more with time though so that’s a downside.

    Can you please tell me where you buy the soft shell fleece? I haven’t been able to find it anywhere

    • @softtacoreusables
      @softtacoreusables  Před 9 měsíci

      Online. I buy from a wholesale distributor that only sells to businesses. If you’re in Canada I might be able to offer some other places that sell it by the yard but if not I don’t have much advice.
