Yes I am a mother and have probably spent, 2 years of my life just cutting things off. Children don’t care instead of opening their blinds they cut on the light. Light is free during the day, take advantage of that. Do not pay for it!
No not every mother or father shuts off lights in a empty room.....while many do.....still, many don't !...and No it's not just wealthy people that don't . many poor, low income people don't either ..
Royal staffers are highly appreciated and mostly hold titles and/or high wages. Sure, there are cleaners and such, but if it's so bad to work for the royals, why would so many people apply for the jobs? Prestige is a high motivation, for one. Make no mistake, no one starves when working in a palace.

You can't put prestige in your gas tank and stores don't accept prestige to pay for goods.
Those jobs at the palace are applied for because when unemployment is high people apply for any job they can get in order to pay bills.
@@marciaoh7056 On that I agree with you whole heartedly, however, everyone IS being paid, if it wasn't so, these workers would have resigned and (even) try to find a different job, the fact that they are not, says that they are, at least, making do. In EVERY job in every country there are low and high paying jobs (and every level in between...) The Royals are doing jobs that help entire causes, and they have a name of hard workers for long hours every day of the year (except Christmas, perhaps,) so I for one think they deserve help. Plus, King Charles' first action as monarch, was to try and limit the amount of working royal in order to save unnecessary money spending from the public.

In fact, it was frown upon because it was a terrorist who send Meghan Markle one of the presents for her wedding. It was diamond earrings which she took and wormed for a special event which she never turned that item to the Queen to be placed in her treasury of Jewelry. In fact, the Queen was appalled by her actions and informed her that Protocol was to be kept on those jewels due to another reason this was a terrorist country, and it was frowned upon which Meghan kept and wore those earrings.
She still kept them and wore them at formal functions.

I read that Meghan and Harry invited the Queen to Lilibeth Birthday party which was on the day of her Golden Jubilee as if she is going to forgo her special event? These two are absolutely crazy after the Queen had family and a great event which was already in full process while the great granddaughter could have had another birthday party another time or could bring the child to Kensington Palace. Always these two manipulate the situation at their convenience not at the Queen's schedule. This was reported to those commentators of the Royals.

Unfortunately, some is not true. All presents given to members of the Roya family belong to the monarch. They do not belong to a certain member, no matter the present. The protocols are decided by the monarch at once, even if we had to bow. I think they get quite well paid, and Palace staff will not know anything going on in the affairs of the state. Red boxes are done with no staff attendance. All state things are done confidently even if you wanted so secretive no way can you tell what has been written by the monarch.
Prince Charles would travel with his own bed, Andrew has a set of teddy bears that had to be precise placed exactly the way he has it or you will be fired.
