At our company, we don't mind a large piece of glass that's easily identifiable. What's dangerous is broken glass inside of a bag, if we can't tell it has glass inside we may brush the bag against our body. One of our guys got tore up due to this. The best practice is in a box/can with a note attached stating that it has broken glass, even in a can we may have our fingers inside the can while dumping so it helps to know.

Yeah I agree a lot of people think it just magically disappears they don't realize the human element until something goes wrong because they put the wrong stuff out or they put it out the wrong way and then it's usually our fault.
