    At 2:00 mark, you state that the pond must be protected with a 15 cm high barrier. Is this to keep the robot from falling into the pond if the boundary wire is not working? If the boundary wire is cut or not working for another reason, does the robot then run off?

      @@GardenaWorldwideso why does there need to be a barrier if the lawnmower will stop?
      Scenario 1:
      The lawnmower reaches the boundary wire and changes direction
      Scenario 2:
      The boundary wire is cut and the lawnmower stops
      Scenario 3:
      _________ and the lawnmower hits the barrier stopping it going into the pond.
      Can you please fill in the blank in scenario 3 so I can understand what would lead to me needing a 15cm barrier?

    How do you need to place the guide wire if you have a square perk?

    • @GardenaWorldwide
      @GardenaWorldwide  Před 2 lety

      The boundary wire should be put as a loop around the work area. Sensors in the product senses when the product approaches the boundary wire, and the product selects another direction. All parts of the work area must be maximum 15 m / 50 ft. from the boundary wire. Hello, could it be 2 guide wire installed (from different sides of the garden)?

    • @GardenaWorldwide
      @GardenaWorldwide  Před 2 lety +1

      The guide wire is put from the charging station to a remote part of the work area or through a narrow passage. The guide wire is connected with the boundary wire to make it easier and faster for the product to find the charging station.
      There is no need to install two guide wires unless there isn’t a secondary area (if the two areas aren’t connected by a passage) and there is a second charging station in the secondary area. If not it is only necessary to put the boundary wire around the secondary area.

    How to set remote starting points??? Don't get that at all

    • @GardenaWorldwide
      @GardenaWorldwide  Před 2 lety

      Hello Tom,
      If the work area includes remote parts that are connected with narrow passages, the Lawn Coverage and CorridorCut function are useful to be able to maintain a well-cut lawn in all parts of the yard. The Lawn Coverage function is used to
      guide the product to remote parts of the work area. The CorridorCut function is used for narrow passage mowing. A guide wire must be installed to use these functions. You can set a maximum of 3 remote areas.
      With the Lawn Coverage function the product first follows and then leaves the guide wire after a certain distance and starts to mow the lawn.
      The CorridorCut function is suitable to mow narrow passages of 60 cm - 1.5 m / 23 in. - 4.9 ft. width. The product moves in a pattern to cover the passage width. The product starts the CorridorCut at the set distance from the charging station. When the product reaches the end of the narrow passage, the product continues and cuts the lawn as normal.
      Area A, approximately 50%
      Area B, approximately 30%
      Area C, approximately 20%

    • @Ironbuket
      @Ironbuket Před 3 lety

      @@mtb_landin Thank you for the unwarranted sarcastic tone in your reply, but I looked into this in detail and decided it wasnt for me. For those with large square gardens I can certainly see the appeal, but for smaller gardens with many obstacles, curved/corners in raised beds etc the setup of the wires can be a big job. The type of boarders you have, whether you have some kind of barrier there already or the lawn just stops and drops into soil also affects things.. The random cutting pattern also can result in uneven patches if you have set it loose on very large lawns. It also cant cut right up to the edges, so you may have to go out with another mower after and finish off...
