I was fortunate enough to get to see Queen live 33 times between March 1974 and August 1986. They still remain the best live band I’ve ever seen. 🇬🇧👑🇬🇧 Their secret weapon in my opinion was having 3 great lead singers whose voice’s harmonised together perfectly.

I saw Queen here in Seattle at the Seattle Center Coliseum in late '79 and it was THE best, most articulate, perfectly timed, extravagant, bombastic, intricate and theater/Vaudeville-like event I've ever seen; before or since. They were using the Pizza Oven lighting rig which was amazingly operated by five or six crew men who were strapped into welded chairs/seats which were attached to ... Each man used his body's leverage/chains and ropes to raise and lower a huge rack of at least thirty or forty lights each. So as the show is beginning and"Procession" is playing thru the front line P.A., the lighting rig looks like one massive bank of lights about six feet above the stage, then they begin to slowly rise - each rack individually by the crew who's strapped into a seat welded about fifteen feet behind the rack of lights... Rather difficult to explain. After the show I was experiencing difficulty pulling myself away from the Coliseum and what I had just witnessed there. I watched Roger, John, and Freddie each run out of the backstage door and take off in their individual limousines. Then about ten minutes later Brian and his huge minder slowly walked out and approached about six of us standing there and he quietly spoke and signed bits of paper for us. I remember, I was fourteen then and he, Brian, was standing there next to me and my best friend, Mark Renstrum... That's my Queen experience. When they played Let Me Entertain You, Dead On Time, Mustapha, Brighton Rock... Jazz was my favorite LP at the time and it was just so fckng powerful. Then they would play '39 and bring tears to your eyes. Best four piece rock band ever - along with Zeppelin and the Who. That's only my humble opinion, of course.

Yes, but i started to enjoy both the content and the narrative when the second started to lead the story. The first guy's voice was so annoying, his pitch, lazy tongue... And as I'm watching and writing this - here he comes to innerve me with his awful speach defect! How others can stand it! Like his nose is blocked, and this high nasal pitch with 'S' being like his tongue just stays in between his teeth all the time! It's a shame, that about such a great speaker, singer with crispy clear speech and tone ( our beloved Freddie) - such kind of mumbler talks to us. I'm trying to listen to the context, but the "speaker" is making it hard for ears and nerves. I'm happy for those who doesn't feel irritated like I do.

39:06 Fact-check: Freddie Mercury ultimately got the songwriting credit for “Liar”, NOT Brian May. However, without precise verification, currently the Wiki article re: Queen’s 2nd single, but only in the U.S., it “brought up the problem of songwriting credits within the band. May queried which band members would be credited for developing the music for each song, to which Mercury concluded the discussion, stating that the lyricist, or otherwise the individual who originates the song, should be credited as its writer, a practice that continued until The Miracle (1989)”. And so all 4 members were credited for every track on Queen’s last 2 records while Freddie was alive. Was that also the case for “Made in Heaven”? 🤔

The Rolling Stones up until the very early 80s were the best rock band on the planet and still are - the material that is. You cannot even compare the Jagger, Taylor, Richards, Watts and Wyman line up to Queen. That being said, Queen was my favorite band when I was a young teen. And I had a huge crush on Freddie. I was really the only person in my neighborhood to be so into their first four. Then a pause in recording. My brother bought me a
Day at the Races, I returned it for another album. I just did not like it.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I beg to differ. I believe there is more than enough room for 2 great rock bands I think the plain musicianship alone puts Queen heads over the Stones. Stay safe and just keep on rock'n

I guess there's no accounting for an individual's taste or lack of it.
Queen was excellent and got better and better. I enjoyed Queen a lot more than the Beatles and loved Otis Redding before he passed away 💔 😢.

Freddie actually gave away more than he bought for himself. He loved to lavish his friends with homes, cars and all kinds of stuff. david spedding

OMG!! I am at about 10:40 and the dude says "Now I'm Here" is on the second album... ummm it is on Sheer Heart Attack... the 3rd one, at least it is in the US.... and this I am supposed to believe?? Hmm.... should I keep watching? wow the first 4 albums from Queen were awesome, after that ---- the only one I have is Hot Space. I really did not like the style change. Also, I am super tired of people looking at Freddie's style and thinking he was the first.... please buy the movie Gimme Shelter or Ladies and Gentlemen (by the Stones in case you have no experience in rock) for pete's sake, the costumes or shall we say clothing that Jagger wore at Altamont in '69 or look at the white coat Jagger wore at the free concert at Hyde Park in 1969 and you tell me that Freddie was the first. Because he was not. Jagger, even at the gigs he did after Sticky Fingers release, I ask, who did Freddie copy??????????????????????????/
