That’s a common complaint but I would think 2K has the numbers on how many of these players get used so it becomes economics. How much do we shell out for a player that will hardly be used in the game. Instead I can create stiff X to play in the early rounds and save that $$.

@@CaptainKenway I’m not referring to those 2 players and to be fair Novak has made it clear he doesn’t like his image being used for video games. I’m referring to the young players that some of us would like. The question I pose is an ROI question. If you get say Ruud and Tsitsipas in the game ( ftr I think they will be eventually as they helped with the promotion) how many more people would play with them cs the cost to attain their rights. That was my point. To your point if you were to get the Big 3 plus Murray, most folks are going to play with them. I’m sorry, but I doubt in TS4 there were a ton of people playing with Davydenko - no disrespect to him.
They’re looking for fan favs like Badosa is in the game - she’s currently ranked 91. I also expect Bouchard to be in this game eventually. They’re not trying to grab for example Rublev who’s top 10 of no one is going to play him in the game. Sakkari is a likelier DLC possibility bcos it’s makes better business sense.
@@briant.8553 Davydenko had really well rounded attributes and coach skills in TS4, he was very popular in World Tour.
Please add an offline tournament mode where you can play a tournament such as the French Open by incorporating the existing roster and created players. This is a basic feature in any tennis game. AO tennis 2 allowed you to play every match in a created tournament and even simulate for example the first set to then jump in and play the second set. Also I think, although you can create a player for my career, you can't actually create players for exhibition matches. Please add these options to the game. The game is incomplete without these features.
Gameplay wise it looks decent, but the Roster looks disappointing. Literally looks like a Top Spin 4 remaster but missing all those iconic players.
Wouldn't be surprised if future players will be added into season passes like you do with WWE 2K.
Eh. Personally I just care about the gameplay and the ability to customize in a character creator so you can create whoever you want how you want to, but seems like a lot of fans buy games like this so they can have their idol right off the bat...
I don't think it's entirely up to them. It's not like other sports where the league holds the player's name rights. They probably have to get a sign-off from each player? But at least there is space to add to the game in that regard.

@@TremblingQualifier Its not just about having the original players, but also being able to have the real animations and such.. like as having Nadal grunts for example. Players like me also use many custom characters, such as AEW wrestlers in WWE games.
You also forget that this is a full price title and it's not looking like one...

There will be CZcams tutorials on how to create pro lookalikes. Several people did it for TS4 and some of the creations were very realistic. I played with a custom built Dimitrov for years.

The most dissapointing thing about this game are all the haters and whining people in the comments. I am just so happy the game is back after 13 YEARS. Of course it doesn’t look perfect at launch but can we at least wait for a couple of months before giving a final verdict. It just shows me that a lot of people in here never really had love for TS4 as well. Cause otherwise you wouldn‘t be whining about all that stuff. It is just really annoying at this point

Gameplay looks fantastic!!! We understand that is very hard and expensive to reach agreements with the top 20 players of the world. But at least you could include real players from the 50-100 ranking. That should be easy and a it will take the game to a new level. With only 7 real players is difficult to play tournaments, etc!!! The experience of the game decreases a lot.

Gameplay looks worst than Top Spin 4, it clearly lacks intensity. Looks like the players are casually training... Also, and that's the worst part, everything is now static. In TS4, your player would prepare his shot according to the timing of the ball like in real life, here, when the ball is coming towards the player, he just stops and freezes, then hit the ball. Look at 2:49, it's awful.
@@superking-nicolaslucau7252 Sory, i dont agree with you, this is the best current tennis game, you can see the animations of the players, how they move around from side to side. Obviously, it has to improve graphically, but this is related to all the games they made CROSSGEN unfortunately. The gameplay itself is ok for me, im worried about the number of real players + offline modes.

The point was its a stepback from the previous game in terms of gameplay (at least on video, we'll see how it actually feels at release), visuals, roster and game modes. And thats immensely disappointing considering we've been waiting for 10+ years.

En espérant aussi un futur TopSpin 2k26 avec une amélioration du game design. Une meilleure physique pour les vêtements, une modélisation plus réaliste du public, une meilleure modélisation des visages des joueurs ❤

I think they are following the same model as PGA 2K and they added more online features later on. I expect this to come early, but probably want to see how the servers hold up. 😆

@@TheAfricanPie well the reason I kinda had a hunch was because 1.topspin isn’t nba 2k where they are going to be able to get people to spend that kind of money on bs cause of the reputation. And 2. They are trying to bring back a franchise and they can’t do that starting off by pissing off every fan and consumer of the game

@@duncan3932 if we use TS4 as a precedent , it never had 7 pros in a tournament. You always had CPU scrubs for the early rounds and then from the QFs you got the real players.

You get my money only if the roster gets bigger. There needs to be at least 20 pros for men and women.
There are some disappointments in this, but I will buy it with the hope that better sales means better budget for graphics and larger roster in the future

Mais le jeu en ligne m'a l'air bien sympathique et complet ! c'est pour moi ce qui compte le plus pour un jeu de tennis, des compétitions en ligne avec classement, etc... :)) En revanche pour les joueurs solo, c'est très probablement la douche froide générale, une carrière quasi identique au 4 de ce que je vois... c'est trop peu à mon goût pour les joueurs qui attendent une carrière solide et immersive en solo, dommage pour eux. :/

We know there's at least 3 lol (Fed, Iga, and Serena were motion captured, but just looking at the men's you have fed forehand, Medvedevs forehand we've seen in another video, and the generic forehand everyone else seems to use, including Alcaraz, Agassi, and Murray, which i hope is fixed). With all their signature style talk I'd assume if not at launch they will add in more signature swings. I mean, they basically said this already, but I'm not sure exactly what they're meaning. But they will be adding in more with their seasons basically. Not clear yet if that's charged either.

At the moment it looks like they will add new players, new signature styles (so swing styles), among other things.
What isn't clear is exactly what we'll be getting. This is no better highlighted than the vague definition of what the Grand Slam Edition really offers you.
We don't know, I don't think anyway, whether they will be adding in new swing animations for players already in the roster or whether this is new styles for new players or just new players. Or both. It does appear from their wording that in various modes you'll have to grind for in game currency and get various things, clothing etc I assume, but this will include swing styles. They've also stated you can use real money to do it. So whether this is a problem depends on how much of grind it will be. I assume this is local or online competitive modes, and not just creating a player. But I don't know.
It doesn't make sense that Medvedev somewhat looks and plays, stroke wise, like Medvedev and Fed of course they motion captured, but they do this and then one of their cover stars, Alcaraz is using generic swings and the player models is atrocious. Every other male player I've seen bar Fed and Medvedev play basically the same. This goes against their signature style video marketing. More recently released player models look way better and there's even a much better player model for Fed doing the rounds, which makes me think they've really been on a time crunch with this one and it's possible we are seeing an earlier build in dev vids and the demo that some people have been playing. Or that they're still working on the game and there's hope Alcaraz etc will be improved post launch. But this is a guessing game right now. But why would they put more effort into Naomi player model than Alcarazs one for instance? Or simulate Medvedev strokes and not Alcarazs? It just doesn't make sense.
It's been 13 or so years since Top Spin 4. Virtua Tennis 4 World Tour Edition and Top Spin 4 were the last decent tennis games with a budget that isn't visually implying it was made in someone's bedroom (Tennis Elbow and Full Ace, two amazing simulators, but presentation wise....). If Top Spin 2K25 fails, it might be another 13 years before they try again.
Career Mode is a copy of Top Spin 4 and it was bad in Top Spin 4....Really shaking my head at this. They still acting like it's 2005 in terms of tennis game development.

Please add way more players, active and legends. Why John McEnroe without Björn Borg? Why Serena Williams without Justine Henin? Why Steffi Graf without Monica Seles? Why Roger Federer without Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal? Why Carlos Alcaraz without Jannik Sinner? Also, no community creation, weak career mode, same gameplay like 13 years ago and so overpriced.
