I am so glad to see Philippines being included in the list. Yes we have crimes especially due to poverty and corrupt government and bad men are everywhere in this world but to be honest if you compare it to other countries especially many Asian countries, where you need to wear modest clothes to not be harassed or get catcalled, Ph is kinda on the nicer side. In the Philippines, you can wear shorts or anything and you will rarely get catcalled. But there are bad places here too that you should avoid. I also won't travel alone at night everywhere. Not even in Korea or Japan. But that's just me.
I think this very much depends where you are in the country. My wife and I went to the Philippines and in Manila men would be blatantly staring at her, would follow her with their eyes without a care. Numerous times I would have to walk behind her on stairs etc for people to not look. She is Filipino herself. But from my understanding it is a lot better than Korea/Japan like you say. But compared to the UK still very different
I think the only country you're talking about is Iran, because the other arabs countries in Asia are very safe and seem to wear modest clothes for religious reasons

In some occasions, they even followed us to our hostel and kept asking for our contact details. We used to feel safe only when we used to visit big hotels, restaurants and places where foreigners and young people are common. In Chittagong, there are also a lots of places where we foreigners couldn't go without permission from the polices due to previous crimes against us which is understandable. All of us had the same experience unfortunately. On the bright side, I used to do a part-time work in 5 star hotel and my Bangladeshi colleagues loved and adored me everyday ❤. (i know they were after me since the times when i was walking alone i got harassed even more then when i was with my friends and they kept touching my hair) And the reason for this just being specifically against North African countries is because i’ve also been to Zimbabwe and Angola where none of this happened and the people were genuinely just kind.

I also woke up one morning to the door of the house i was renting being completely scratched and damaged as if someone tried to break in. (i know they were after me since the times when i was walking alone i got harassed even more then when i was with my friends and they kept touching my hair)

Wow so crazy! My family is from Bangladesh and even my mom says she would never want me to go travel alone there with all the sexual assault issues there towards females
Exactly
Maybe women who look foreign are safer? With East Asia that is the case. Worst would be catcalling, staring or a quick brush/squeeze if you have larger boobs/showing cleavage. Extremely unlikely to experience worse than that for a foreigner. But that doesn't mean the locals are safe.
Women from foreign countries will feel safe.
In South Asia they're afraid to go after foerighners because the punishments are touch, but locals are not safe. I thought it was just here in my country but that seems to be the case across South Asia. They are far too scared of powerful countries coming after them to do anything.
@@laetificoExactly! Here, ib Bangladesh, foreign looking people are almost worshipped.
As a solo female traveler myself... for me... Philippines was the friendliest and safest country. Everyone. And I mean EVERYONE... was super friendly, helpful and very nice. Even going out at night by myself, there was always someone helping me out and try to keep me safe.
Omggg I'm ver thought someone will talk about Bangladesh, you make my day girl. THANNKSSS❤️
I absolutely love saudi! Felt super safe there day and late at night, people are super respectful of women 💗
Saudi Arabia its like any country when it comes to human rights, i don't think any one will mention usa war crimes when they talk about visiting it.
Ikr. That's what I was thinking too. They need to call out an Arab country but no one bats an eye for any other country.
@amreenshaikh5792 hypocrisy dear and the results of Western propaganda to make them think that their crimes are justified and the Middle East is the land of caveman 😒.
@@godie546 That's literally not true though. Not at all. People mention issues in other countries aswell. I've heard lots about Uganda, India, etc. And they talk plenty about the US (im not even American and yet I've heard so, so much about it.)
homosexuality is punishable by death in Saudi Arabia. that’s the government, not just random violent bigots.
like. America might not be doing a lotta good things about LGBTQ+ rights lately, but at least the US isn’t doing THAT.
Saudi executes queer people.
My science teacher is from Benin he has a very heavy accent and the kids at my school treat him so terribly i don’t rlly know how a human can treat another human like that without seeing something wrong in their actions. he’s a great guy
Love touring the outskirts of Manila. Honestly as a woman exploring alone, I felt super safe. Thanks for loving the Philippines ❤
As a Bangladeshi I don’t know how u felt Bangladesh as safe bc always in Bangladesh the men would always stare at you and stuff
Dude the same applies to the entire South Asia like wtf is this woman talking about 😂
As someone with a Filipino friend, I can confirm that they are literally one of the sweetest people I know
As a Filipino,I confirm Filipinos are very nice
saudi arabia looks so majestic
Not so majestic if your gay

Benin is a really beautiful country with amazing people !! I’m proud to know you felt safe in my country 🥰🇧🇯
in general i loved benin but i got catcalled almost every time i went out in public and once a man grabbed my arm for a couple of seconds while walking by on an empty street
I'm glad you emphasized "as a foreign woman traveler" b/c i have lived there and I WOULD NEVER EVER GO BACK TO SAUDI ARABIA for many reasons (i'm a muslim btw)
Same they charge so much for renewal of identification card if your a foreigner even for kids they charge about 4000 a month it’s not like the kids have their own job that they can pay those amount of money
You just made me remember the video of Saudi men groping a fully covered woman.
Dont come back then
Can you elaborate on that please ?
@@manarFThey won't lol 😂
as a saudi i assure you its super safe Like you could walk alone at night without worrying No men will look at you (sometimes they will if your a tourist because its something new seeing tourist around) and absolutely no one will harass you or flirt or something the people there are literally so kind and safe tbh like no one would even dare to harass you cause the whole neighborhood will literally attack them also no drunk people cause we dont have bars or beer
saudi arabia has beer, but all of them must be non-alcoholic
@@bread9491 im from saudi arabia and theres no alcohol whatsoever Cause its a muslim country and alcohol is haram
@@bread9491it has for only certain areas and shops for certain people only, no one can just access them
so refreshing to see someone travelling in Africa ...Its an amazing continent.
Ty. im very happy that you feel safe in the Philippines you dont know how grateful im that you fell safe in my country .
“foreigners are your only risk bc they are unpredictable” her being a foreigner 💀
Okay I don't know this woman but she is talking about her experience? She's not gonna lose it and start beating herself up is she? Or rape herself or strangle herself in a dark alley? So you get it or do you just wanna play ignorant on purpose
@@MadeleinesMadeleines She's a danger to other foreigners. She'd say something like: "This country isn't yours to foreign" then proceed to unforeign the shit outta them.

I’m in Saudi Arabia rn for pilgrimage and I don’t want to ever leave 😭
Awww I hope you have an amazing Umrah
@@Chloejadetravels thank you 🥺❤️
I just done umrah in march and it was amazing, but getting used to men being respectful, never touching you even accidentally and always having your personal space made coming back home to annoying disrespectful people very hard.😅
Also umrah mubaraka
@@omaimaf9963 thank you 🤍
I loved umrah and being in Saudi Arabia I really wish I could live here when I’m older. Fr the men in Saudi are so respectful and polite there. I’m gutted to be returning home where men are not like this too :/
I'm happy you like Bangladesh ☺🇧🇩
I’m from Bangladesh and I appreciate that you visited our country
I am from Benin and I am so happy to hear you say that. It is an amazing country and it is very safe. Plus if you're a foreigner you get all kind of special treatments.
Tysm for representing Bangladesh! Alot of people say that Bangladesh is a bad country, im so happy u felt safe there ❤
Edit 1:Ty for the likes
It is a bad country.
I don't agree that it's a bad country but it really isn't safe for women...
no country really is safe for women anymore....Bangladesh is normal, you just need to be extremely confident and tough to deal with the dumbasses here@@shravyaamin8346
@@shravyaamin8346as Bangladeshi I will say YES its not that same for women but Bangladesh is not bad.
As Bengali 🇮🇳 I don't want to visit Bangladesh because pick pocket and robbery are pretty common as my relatives and friends had really bad experiences, my friends phone got stolen and when he tried to complain to the local police they don't even care, it's pretty unsafe.
For women If you go to big cities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE as well you could guarantee zero crime rates…zero stealing zero stalking…these cities never sleep…and there is special police protection over them…don’t go to rural villages…for me personally never heard of a crime or rape in cities like Dubai and Riyadh…
What does being a women have to do with anything…
Im from south africa and i recently had a layover in rwanda and they are so friendly. The transition from people in rwanda to back home in SA was so surprising
Im from Saudi Arabia and I'm sooo happy that you enjoyed my beautiful country ❤
Lmao, she literally gave a backhanded compliment about Saudi Arabia, while the other countries didn't mention their 'human rights violations.' It's so stupid that whenever they need to mention something about a country, they always bring up the negativity. But when it's about the US or another Western country, of course, they won't.
@@sjlee100why are you so pressed?
@@sjlee100well because the shitty human rights is what it’s most known for how women barely have any rights. It’s just facts dude. People talk shit about Americans and how they are fat and stupid and lot of that is mostly stereotypes, but the saudi thing isn’t stereotype and just facts
@@sjlee100 same I thought no one noticed
@@sjlee100 the truth hurts? She is talking about traveling as a woman and Saudi Arabia is infamous about how they treat women, until recently they couldn't drive so of course she is going to mention the human rights violations
As a Bangladeshi, many people’s intentions aren’t always clear, especially men. I moved recently from Bangladesh to US and one of our workers who had worked with us for a while started selling many of our belongings. Although I love Bangladesh, like any country you have to be careful.
