This series was so good but I felt it never hit its full potential. Each game was always lacking in something. I wish they were able to make a true masterpiece.
True, but I think if even now they did nail it, they now have no way of making a "true" sequel since it feels like the previous games are almost completely unrelated. Theresa from Fable 2 and 1is the only link between games that I can remember :/
@@carlosmspk How do you figure they're unrelated? Fable 2 hero is literally a descendant of the Fable 1 hero, and Fable 3 hero is the son of the Fable 3 Hero. Not to mention the same locations pop up, like Bowerstone getting bigger and more industrial in each sequel. Wraithmarsh in Fable II is Oakvale, and Millfields in Fable 3 is Bower Lake (which was the location of the Heroes Guild) after Reaver drove out the gypsies and made his own little town for rich people. Each game is very connected.
@@ryanarchuleta6231 Well, they have the same world, I'll give you bowerstone and that oakvale moment. But to go from there and say that "each game is very connected"? I don't know, man, I don't see it. The story, characters and villains to other games only show up as mild references, and you could mostly remove them without loosing any meaning to the main plot, they mostly serve as little treats to the fans. A person can play any of the games individually without playing the other games, and everything still makes perfect sense, and I would even go as far as saying they wouldn't be missing on much, in terms of what any one game impacts on the other games. Again, you're right, the games aren't as decoupled as I remember, but if I'm not missing anything (which I might very well be, it's been a long time) I don't like how the games are so unrelated. This being said, all of this could be just as the developers wanted it: each game is its own adventure, and each era's hero is his/her own individual
@@carlosmspk How would you make them more connected? Everything goes back to the first Archon, William Black (heavily implied to be the hero Scythe, also magic is called Will because of him), and his struggle with Jack of Blades over the Sword of Aeons. Most of that story is revealed in the first game, which takes place at the end of a dark age that followed the fall of the Archon's Old Kingdom, a bit like our historical late medieval period. Fable 2 takes place hundreds of years later in what I would call Fable's renaissance period, with guns becoming more common and cities becoming larger. The plot of that game revolves around Albion's mad king trying to control the Tattered Spire, which is a ruin that, you guessed it, comes from the Old KIngdom. The Archon built it to better channel his immense Will, but it was misused and caused the fall of the Old Kingdom. Theresa takes control of it at the end of the game, as is only proper for a descendant of the Archon's bloodline (which all the protagonists are said to be as well). Fable 3 directly continues from the last game. In Fable 2 it is canon that you become King or Queen, and you play as your child in the next game. The antagonist of Fable 3 is the Crawler, which eventually is explained (unfortunately through a book and spinoff game) to be a manifestation of the void, which of course is also where Jack of Blades and the Sword of Aeons come from. Even if it wasn't explained it's not hard to draw that connection; The Crawler is basically darkness incarnate, and we already knew Jack and The Sword come from the void. All three games have connections to the Old Kingdom. All three games have the three hero disciplines, the guild seal, morality, same enemies, property management, demon doors, silver keys, and many recurring locations. They are all three undeniably connected in both gameplay and plot. That being said I think Fable 3 kind of lost some of the spirit of the old games, probably because of the Crawler's lose connection to the void and the steampunk vibes. But I think they're going back to the fantasy roots with the new Fable reboot being worked on so there's hope for the series yet.

+B. Ambre Oh it is indeed. Must have overlooked that 6 months ago. Even in 60fps, a feature that didn't exist on youtube in 2009. Perhaps the uploader updated it.
You can't fathom the amount of goosebumps this intro gave me when i was younger.
+Dimitrisgr98 OMG so true
Dimitrisgr98 Still does for me. That's why I'm here. :-p

@@blaky626 what are you saying lol
@@themajesticbulldog3832 People have their opinions. Personally, prefer Fable 2. But both games are amaxing.in their own ways
I started with the first fable so there’s no way my opinion can change
Fable 2 was indeed very good
Good example of how video games can be works of art

why was this soundtrack so underrated compared to the other songs. this was my favorite OST from fable!
Bowerstone's design is absolutely gorgeous
The artwork in this game is amazing.
The nostalgia hurts
R.i.p Lionhead Studios
1996-2016
only thing this game lacked was a real jumping system
Let's all remember that this shit was made in 2008
The fact that the song from this intro is used in Reavers mansion theme in the third game
Such a good game! This video was a nostalgia trigger for me... Thanks for the upload!
