That is a killer set of features and power for that price! If it sounds good it’ll be a freaking steal! 20 years ago you had to pay twice that to get those features in a 50w x4 amp! I am impressed with all of these D4S JP3 amps so far. I might actually recommend these over the RF Power series amps since they have huge dynamic power(makes up for the constant power).
Definitely an amp I'd like to have in my car. Great price too. I'd like to see it stay sub $300, but either way, still a nice old school amp design and good build quality.

That thing is beautiful! Would be perfect for a set of beefy 6x9s and a 12", very reasonable price too IMHO. I highly prefer class AB, on the whole I still think they sound a bit better and there's no chance of switching noise leaking back into the rest of the system.
I notice no actual ratings for 3 ch mode. Ratings not posted on screen for 3 ch either. This amp can attract buyers because of its 3 ch mode; and you really sell it as a 3 ch amp as well. It really is a all in one solution for those who want to use it like that. I also notice no comment on if the amp needs more than 4 awg ofc (you used 0 awg ofc). On top of that JP had the JP 34ab on his website for a very long time but only recently changed it--he should have changed it as soon as possible. Cross over points? You talked about this to an extent; however, is it set at 12db, 18db, or 24db? Would you recommend use of the deck crossover feature instead? Lastly, I notice you didn't do a 2 ch mode demonstration featuring sub performance and your take on it. I have this amp, and it's really good sounding. I was looking for an AB amp that would give me a different sound signature; and this Royal Purple Amp DELIVERS. I use it in 2 ch mode for two 12s.
His amps are great, but he wont display negative reviews. You can't go by the reviews on his site. I left a negative review and it did not show. He only shows positives. It was not defamatory in anyway. I was just stating my disappointment in his claims considering he is a bass head guy. I was expecting a bass head speaker. I have 3 of his amps. His amps are great, but that BT speaker will never satisfy a bass head. The Harman Kardon speaker sold at the Metro store for about the same price as his speaker has a ton of bass. I will be salty about the gas lighting till the day I die. His arrogant attitude is what set me off. There is no way you ever get me to believe he thinks that speaker has bass head quality bass. How he handled me cost him at least 4 more amp sales. I go through cars like water, I dont pull equipment when I sell the car, thats just trashy. Bass head for life.

I was thrown off by him in one of his videos where he claimed to be the first ever to come out with a Bluetooth wireless bass knob. And he knows full well that Kicker did that with their KXA amps years ago. That shows he believes he can tell his customers anything he wants and they will believe him, that's arrogant. Other than that I hear his amps are really good.
It would be cool if you made a video of this amp or another 4 channel showing how you would set up the crossovers on something like someone adding front and rear door speakers with passive crossovers

Well I can tell you I was running a taramps 3000.1 on my stock F-150 I have three 12-inch subs. Running on stock electric. I just swapped it to the jp-8. I can't believe it is definitely louder and hits so much harder in the lows! I'm getting voltage drops at max volume, not under 13 volts, but this amp rocks my stock 2021 F150. All I can say is, wow! I will be getting an xs power battery then a JP33! Down for sounds is AWESOME 😎
I now have two of these for mids and highs and a jp23 for low end. Ripped out everything and in the process of doing an 8 ch dsp setup with 3 ways up front. Almost there. Amazing amps!
Oh yeah. Would be cool. I have the 5 channel and it had been great! I got it as a temp amp while I build my multi amp-amp rack and honestly o havnt been in a hurry to finish the build because the 5 channel has been so great
I remember JP’s drama nonsense from when he first started out on CZcams, so part of me will always dislike him in a way. That said, he worked really hard to build his store and brand and I can’t hate on him for that. His line of amps are pretty damn good quality, especially for the initial pricing, and damn good looking, too.

Would love for you to look into the JBL Basspro Hub. Its a sub that sits inside the spare wheel. I just picked one up and it hits really hard for only being 200 watts rms. Though they have the Stadium basspro thats basically the same thing but no built in amp and accepts 600 watt rms.

BigD? Did you change your microphone or something? Or do something with the Audio? Maybe its just my ears foolin me again. But it sure sounds did sound better then I have heard that track before. I noticed it on my laptop and grabbed my cans. Maybe its just me, but I think I heard details in the music tracks that I never noticed before. The First track with the piano and cymbals just jumped out at me for lack of better description. Maybe its just me? But this Class A/B amp sure seems to be musical and somehow? Provide better detail. Maybe its just Microphone placement?. Whatever. These Elacs sound great with this amplifier! Even that lazer song seems to have more details on playback. I never heard the Fuzz before in the track. I'm impressed. I have to ask you. Did you do something to the room? This recording really sounds better.

I listened to both this video and the jp95 with the same track amazer lazer . On a good pc speakers(logitech z63) and a quality headset on an optical cable(astro a50) and you can hear a difference in quality. The JP34ab has a more full detailed sound.
Should test those Alphasonik amp with the big A on them Some people thought they were made by apple..I ran the Alphasonik pma 4150a and pma 1200D I was impressed.

I bought one and it came in earlier today. I installed it. Bought it to replace my jl audio jd400/1 because I needed more power for my mids & highs. Dont get me wrong this amp has double the power of my jl which I love but the sound quality of this amp is sub-par. I expected better sound quality at this price. Lets just say that I wont be getting rid of my jl audio amp. And I forget to mention that the jl audio amp is class d, not class ab like the jp amp.
Make sure you didn't reverse the polarity one one channel as that would explain the SQ issue. I haven't had any complaints and several other friends who have these really like the SQ
@@wal polarity is wired correctly. The sound quality of this amp sounds a little muffled on the highs. Running my speakers off my pioneer head unit has way better sound quality than this amp.
I love these amps trust me but arent these just team pie amps I mean boards and casing but obviously customisezed to the fullest??? Still dope line of amps got something for everyone
Too bad they didn't put an output on there. But I only buy head units with six channel outputs anyway. This is tempting me to buy a quality four channel amp from D4S.
Yo JP, why can I HP @ 20hz, but only LP at @ 50hz? It's stupid, make them both 20hz!! Surely easier on design and manufacturing too. My only other suggestions would be, how about adding a 12\24dB xo switch? Also, continuously variable phase *please*. I use a 4 ch to drive a single 12", and without the phase knob, the 2 bridged channels are not aligned. Everything else looks pretty sweet!
Its user adjustable bro.... Read the specs, High Pass Filter: 20Hz - 800Hz High Pass Filter Multiply: x1 - x10 (200Hz -8KHz) Low Pass Filter: 50Hz - 800Hz it's completely usable with that insane range
Didn't you read what I said? Even if you didn't, you've listed the problem yourself. The minimum settings for the HPF and LPF are not the same. 20hz for the HPF is really good, but 50hz for a LPF is crap, and *especially* at 12dB. And it makes no sense whatsoever to design and make 2 completely different circuits to make them different frequencies when it is desirable to have both filters begin as low as possible. Let alone the overlap issues that creates.
I would personally just get the JP8 and use that. Its meant to drive subs and it will be way more efficient. Big D did a video on it and the 4 channel version. Now, if you wanted to get this amp for the mids and highs, thats another story. This amp isn't really meant to power subs. Just because it can do it, doesn't mean its the best choice for the job
I have had a pair of 12" P2s since 2016. I have tried them on a Rockford Fosgate P300.1 A/B, Skar RP1200 class D. Hifonics 1100.1 class D, and an Alpine T class 5 channel. Catch22frubert is right that the JP8 would be a better match for sheer output but this amp in the video will probably sound better. Just depends on what you are into. Sound quality or getting loud.

@@JAM-ur8tj His amps have done good by me. His JP8 moves my Skar EVL 15 very well. Its a good match. I chuckled when I seen that claim a while back.

This amp is quietly kicking ass
Would love for you to look into the JBL Basspro Hub. Its a sub that sits inside the spare wheel. I just picked one up and it hits really hard for only being 200 watts rms. Though they have the Stadium basspro thats basically the same thing but no built in amp and accepts 600 watt rms.
Hey Big D. i have a CRX im rebuilding. Think this will be too much for a 12 infinity perfect 12? Would run ch 3-4 briged and the 1-2 chanel for the front.
In 1991 I was 18 and bought a new CRX, I loved that car but once I got married, I had to part with it. PS. in my opinion this amp would be perfect on your system!

Maybe its just my ears foolin me again. But it sure sounds did sound better then I have heard that track before. I noticed it on my laptop and grabbed my cans.
Maybe its just me, but I think I heard details in the music tracks that I never noticed before. The First track with the piano and cymbals just jumped out at me for lack of better description.

Whatever. These Elacs sound great with this amplifier! Even that lazer song seems to have more details on playback. I never heard the Fuzz before in the track.

I listened to both this video and the jp95 with the same track amazer lazer . On a good pc speakers(logitech z63) and a quality headset on an optical cable(astro a50) and you can hear a difference in quality. The JP34ab has a more full detailed sound.
SOOO needless to say, I bought this amp I have been looking for a quality AB that isn't ridiculous in price, can't wait for it to reach!!!!!

Just ordered mines this morning to replace a Skar Audio RP 75.4 amp that just won't stop going into thermal.
Get some ferrules for those wires big D, all those loose strands look scary lol
For permanent installs I'd use ferrules for sure, but for testing each week they just don't work well with the in and out

I dunno if you can say this amp is inefficient as a con. Vs Class D, sure, but vs. other Class AB, JP34AB is really efficient at around 70% 4 OHM.
Should test those Alphasonik amp with the big A on them
Some people thought they were made by apple..I ran the Alphasonik pma 4150a and pma 1200D I was impressed.

I got the 2300 mono block pushing my 2 12 L7s it’s ok I thought it would push better
I bought one and it came in earlier today. I installed it. Bought it to replace my jl audio jd400/1 because I needed more power for my mids & highs. Dont get me wrong this amp has double the power of my jl which I love but the sound quality of this amp is sub-par. I expected better sound quality at this price. Lets just say that I wont be getting rid of my jl audio amp. And I forget to mention that the jl audio amp is class d, not class ab like the jp amp.
Make sure you didn't reverse the polarity one one channel as that would explain the SQ issue. I haven't had any complaints and several other friends who have these really like the SQ
@@wal polarity is wired correctly. The sound quality of this amp sounds a little muffled on the highs. Running my speakers off my pioneer head unit has way better sound quality than this amp.

Yo JP, why can I HP @ 20hz, but only LP at @ 50hz? It's stupid, make them both 20hz!! Surely easier on design and manufacturing too. My only other suggestions would be, how about adding a 12\24dB xo switch? Also, continuously variable phase *please*. I use a 4 ch to drive a single 12", and without the phase knob, the 2 bridged channels are not aligned.

Its user adjustable bro.... Read the specs, High Pass Filter: 20Hz - 800Hz
High Pass Filter Multiply: x1 - x10 (200Hz -8KHz)
Low Pass Filter: 50Hz - 800Hz it's completely usable with that insane range
Didn't you read what I said? Even if you didn't, you've listed the problem yourself. The minimum settings for the HPF and LPF are not the same. 20hz for the HPF is really good, but 50hz for a LPF is crap, and *especially* at 12dB. And it makes no sense whatsoever to design and make 2 completely different circuits to make them different frequencies when it is desirable to have both filters begin as low as possible. Let alone the overlap issues that creates.

I would personally just get the JP8 and use that. Its meant to drive subs and it will be way more efficient. Big D did a video on it and the 4 channel version. Now, if you wanted to get this amp for the mids and highs, thats another story. This amp isn't really meant to power subs. Just because it can do it, doesn't mean its the best choice for the job
I have had a pair of 12" P2s since 2016. I have tried them on a Rockford Fosgate P300.1 A/B, Skar RP1200 class D. Hifonics 1100.1 class D, and an Alpine T class 5 channel.
Catch22frubert is right that the JP8 would be a better match for sheer output but this amp in the video will probably sound better. Just depends on what you are into. Sound quality or getting loud.
