    Romario, Ronaldo, Zidane. Perhaps the three greatest footballers in the past 20 years.
    Your wonderful goalscoring record and virtuoso performance at the '94 World Cup will always be remembered. Brazil may have won three straight World Cups if you hadn't been hurt on the eve of the '98 Tournament.
    Viva, Romario!

    When Romario was the best player in the world, he choosed to play in Brazil league again, just because he misses a lot his city an his country. He did the things that a normal guy did not do. Because of that he is a king in Brazil. Here, nobody argues about who's was the better, Ronaldo or Romário. The little one wins!
    He gaves us a world cup again after 24 years later.
    He scored more than 1000 goals!

    I love how he almost never bothered tring to curl the ball. Not like Van Persie and his ilk, getting a protractor out, working out the angles and trying to put sufficient spin on the ball so that he could score a 'beautiful' goal. Romario's finishing was surefire.

    Romario. Baggio. Batistuta. Weah. All fantastic with very special gifts. Baggio was really an attacking midfielder or a withdrawn striker. Passing to demolish defenses. Romario, the purest striker inside the box. Weah a true #9, big strong, and could head a ball like a king. Bati-gol....well a foot like a cannon and a nose for goal from distance. Some of my favorite players of mid 90s. Barcelona, Juventus, Fiorentina, and Milan...that's when football still had artistry and not just raw running.

    @kaqio I agree with you in the fact that defensively the midfield can be strengthened by using two but I would use the 4-5-1 formation vs the best countries and adopt it as my system because that extra man in the midfield can make the difference by repelling total domination in the middle by applying extra pressure. with di maria as my winger and tevez as my other winger as he played for man u with messi playing lone striker. i wud play zanetti with cambiasso, they kno each other well from italy

    @LUVFAMILIA Defensively I would also add Coloccini, how is he not there? the midfield would be Cambiasso,Zanetti,Gago,DiMaria,Tevez. Messi would play lone striker but in a roaming role in which he could switch with tevez and di maria often. Eventhough Barca dominates games many managers including Wenger have said that Messi is not "always in the game". He just needs that one chance and I think DiMaria beside Ozil and David Silva is the best passer in the world and Tevez can also supply

    @kaqio I wish they could but its not possible when you have people like Bastian Schweinsteiger, Xavi Hernandez and Wesley Sneijder who are veterans to deal with. Teams national levels change from generation to generation unlike the club level which is more stable due to mobility. Argentina of today cannot compete in the midfield, neither can Brazil for that matter. Brazil had focused on being physical in the middle but the game has changed and speed and posession have become the new thing

  • @LUVFAMILIA
    @LUVFAMILIA Před 12 lety

    Just because Tevez refused to play for Mancini vs Bayern doesn't make him lack potency especially as a winger which he played as at United. The 4-3-3 formation would be best for argentina with Messi as target man similar to van persie for arsenal with tevez and di maria acting as his supply route either for the assist or the means of drawing defenders away. cambiasso and zanetti in midfield and sabella with strong defensive quality. this team would be strong defensively and killer on the counter

  • @LUVFAMILIA
    @LUVFAMILIA Před 12 lety

    @kaqio The world cup argument isn't legitimate. If you think about it the national level has no mobility, you are stuck with certain players unlike at the club level which is more competitve and more objective for judging player. This generation of Argentines has no midfielders, they are all aging, Zanetti is 38, Cambiasso(31) and Riquelme retired, the midfield is weak. Argentina has the best strikers in the world led by Messi, Tevez,Milito,Aguero,Higuain,Maxi Rodriguez... The chain is broken.
