- PowerPoint presentations slides are getting larger and larger due to more people including high resolution images and videos in their presentations. In this video I will show you how to compress your image size, delete unused section of cropped images, and reduce your video resolution.

Very helpful video Andy. What about images that you insert as the background? I tried and found out you cannot click on those images, so do those have to be optimized outside of PPT before you insert them? Thanks!
Well, I'm a bit late and no doubt you're LIKELY done with THAT PPT... but the answer is yes, you can not 'adjust' those photos once as a 'formated background' thus you'd have to compress them first. The trick is you can actually do this IN PPT and then save it as a picture, then reinsert it but for time, I'd just use a free online compressor... Cheers. Not sure why he didn't respond. Really should have. Additionally, his comments starting @4;16 are ONLY for PC; those 'options' don't quite get these deep for Mac users, oddly...
