its not so hard....it is just that we are so much trapped in emotional and thinking patterns that keep us busy 24x7 and these wave like patterns disturb the unwavering quality that is needed....so these patterns are basically our limitations, break atleast one of the limitations daily and lets see what can stop us from becoming unwavering/nishchaltatve ...

This is THE single best video. I am working on this - to come back to one thought. From time to time I come back to this one thought - I am not the body and mind. Coz our body-mind is constantly changing, we need to introduce a constant.
For all intellectually sharp minds,Non-dual teachings is the best way to move forward towards the path of Enlightenment.
Kriya yoga also leads you to there......you will br directly thrown to beyondness.... Which is no identity and bliss......self enquiry is one of the way.....but may not work for everyone..... B/c every one can not have the abilities of discrimination of the self and non self.....it requires some minimal level of pure intellect and detachment......but kriya yoga works for every one....!!

Such a beautiful notion. All that needs to be done, is picking a path of knowing and not straying from it.
This is why he gave you a choice of even picking negative things such as anger and hatred. The whole point is to fully realize the consequences of each qualities. Most people don't fully understand the consequences of their actions (karma). For example, a very serious argument can be made to show that anger can be extremely useful, positive, correct, sublime, exquisite, eloquent, and even divine.
However, to understand those aspects of anger, to touch those dimensions of anger, one must have followed the path of anger with extreme loyalty and devotion as sadhguru puts it beautifully.
This is why, in Indian history, there have been yogis and sages whose sadhna focused on anger.
*classic example of an angry yogi is sage durvasa. He is mentioned in mahabharat for sure. Maybe other places too. Durvasa was notorious for being angry almost always.*
@Chris C Yes, that is the ideal situation. However, for you to be at such a level, a level where you can flawlessly and fluidly manage and shift your mind, energy and emotions between various states of anger and wonderfulness, as you put it; there needs to be a profund understanding of the consequences of each state and whether it would be relevant and fruitful to exercise such states in any given situation. To develop such perception and understanding, one must do the relevant sadhna (practice).
If you look at yourself honestly, you'll probably find that you (I am talking about the proverbial you XD) are not at such a level. For example, if someone cause anger within you, are you aware enough to discern whether the anger was caused as a reaction to their action or if you consciously chose to be angry to cause a highly specific subsequent consequence?
A yogi is never in a reactionary state. He never reacts to anything. A yogi is so conscious about life and existence that he only responds to situations. That is what you will learn to do effortlessly if you just activate your consciousness. You will learn to see things for what they truly are, rather than what you see through the proverbial 'beer goggles' that society has put on. Once such clarity of vision is attained, things simply boil down to responding to situations in an obvious, sensible way to achieve success. This is all that the great men have learned to harness. It is simple, and yet so complex. That is the beauty of creation.

In samadhi one attains the Knowledge of Brahman - one realizes Brahman. In that state reasoning stops altogether, and man becomes mute. He has no power to describe the nature of Brahman - Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.
