After forgiveness, you still have to treat them accordingly, now that you are no longer naive. Forgiveness is for your soul's benefit, not theirs. Through knowing yourself... you can reach a place of understanding where holding onto resentment is no longer possible within you. And when the immature ego has fallen away.... you have been born again.
