Remember it taking me about a week to beat the first boss when I first played this game. Quite shocking really. That Jungle Zone boss is the worst of the lot though

It is because of frame rating so the sprite flickering is what we see .
It's a way to get around sprite limitations

This is my game with Sonic on all consoles. There is also nostalgia, I had it when it came out at a birthday party when I was a child, it was magical.
This is definitely the Master System version and not the Game Gear version because Sonic actually has a nose.
Sonic Gamer Also in the Game Gear version the first boss is far easier since due to the reduced screen size making it impossible for him to fly high enough to avoid being hit.

eggboi mobile: bomb dropper thingy (jungle zone)
eggboi missle submarine (labyrinth zone)

I don't get how the Game Gear and Master System can be the same. Can anyone give me any reason how besides a console and a handheld?
The Game Gear's hardware is nearly identical to the Master System in most ways
The most notable differences are resolution and color, which the GG has less resolution and significantly more color

These bosses are way better than the genesis version in my opinion. There more harder and challenging (except for the 1st boss)

@@angryboi595 Nah , 16-bit Sonic 1 has harder bosses than 8-bit Sonic 1 and 8-bit Sonic 2 .
If bossfights in those two games had rings , the fights could've been beaten with one hand on the controller .
