Absolutely wonderful explanations. Thank you for answering the "whys" behind everything - really helps to connect and dots and makes it easier for everything to sink in!!
Thank you so much!! These videos are always so useful!!!!! You're incredible. You have so many video topics and all the drawings are always so well done and the explanations are always so clear. Your use of color coordination also helps a ton!
this is the best introduction of carbohydrate metabolism I have ever seen.although my native tongue is not English I really understand perfect due to your facile lecture. Thank U so so much!
amazing videos! helped a lot with the exams. Really, really hats off to you. to-the-point and very clear. sincerely thank you and may god bless you! :)
Thanks so much. we are in our 3 weeks of biochemistry in medical school. Your lectures cover the highlights of each topic in the right amount of detail that it makes it easy to review the material we have learned in class. I watch your videos as a review to confirm what I understand and what I have memorized from class.
His previous videos regarding gluconeogenesis are more detailed, where he goes in-depth on each structure. This is just an overview, assuming you've watched the other 2-3 lectures.
OMG I love you!!! you're a LifeSaver finally understand this process. I heard that the understanding of gluconeogenesis and glycolysis are bucket in the new mcat so thanks lotsss. I don't even use the books as much thanks to your videos lol (better and faster), truly the best; again THANK YOU. :-)
cassandana Arthur lol! you're welcome thanks for the positive words! awesome to hear that you're using my lectures to study for the MCAT; best of luck on it!
Wonderful lecture, thank you so much! However, if I'm not mistaken the enzyme in step number 9 should be called phosphohexose isomerase instead of phosphoglucose isomerase. Can we use them interchangeably?
Why is OAA turned into malate to get out of the matrix? In the malate aspartate shuttle it's turned into aspartate to exit and malate to enter? Are these related or are they entirely different concepts?
May I question whether or not the oxaloacetate to malate reaction is actually: Oxaloacetate + NADH + proton as malate ends up with 2 more hydrogens than oxaloacetate (according to other sources)
You should have the notoriety of a khan academy with the the volume and quality of teaching that you have done.
Miles Holmes i agree with u 👍🏼
Why should he have notoriety? He's amazing
This is the best class about gluconeogenesis I have ever seem.
i absolutely applaud the dedication u had in drawing the phopholipid bilayer on the mitochondrial membrane .....
Please, keep making these videos! They're amazing! Have an awesome day!
Iulia Dragomir Thank you! Will do :) Have a great one!
Absolutely wonderful explanations. Thank you for answering the "whys" behind everything - really helps to connect and dots and makes it easier for everything to sink in!!

Beautifully Explained..😇
Thankyou so Much..!!!

Greaaaaaaat job !
Mad respect 🙌🏼
Great lecture! I wish there was a way of printing your drawings. They are really helpful.
Just think of how long it must have taken to draw all of the phospholipids of the membranes.
Thank you so much for doing these!
Great visual representation, makes it easy to see big picture. Only addition that would help would be to have structures to show each step.
His previous videos regarding gluconeogenesis are more detailed, where he goes in-depth on each structure. This is just an overview, assuming you've watched the other 2-3 lectures.

wow. great stuff.
You are amazing
Nice one 😊
amazing videos. so helpful. quick question... does gluconeogenesis occur in the well fed state or fasting state?
Thank you!
Thanks Andrey ! :)
Thank you
You are a gift from god
The best! Very, very cool! Thanks. I"m from Russia =)
Should the H+ be on the other side of the equation? For charge balance? Best lectures out there
Thankyouu🌟
what about fates of pyruvate ? i could not understand them well
thank you

God bless you
God bless u sir
Thank youuu
May I question whether or not the oxaloacetate to malate reaction is actually: Oxaloacetate + NADH + proton as malate ends up with 2 more hydrogens than oxaloacetate (according to other sources)
Yes - it's NADH + H+
Someone get this guy his own show on cable
Which molecule is used preferentially in gluconeogenesis? Glycerol, amino acids?
hi! tnx for the video, i didnt understand why you say we use 4ATP...? we use one ATP for each pyruvate therefore we used 2ATP... aren't we?
2 ATP at step 1. and 2 at step 5
YOU ARE A GOD
You are amazing I love you 😘
Hats off (Y)
i love you so much :')
You are awesome 🙂 l can,t stady without you 🙊🌹
