- Coming later this year is not an exaggeration to say this is probably one of the best beat 'em ups on the Neo Geo, if not the best.
The game is being developed by Nalua Studios, a recently created Indie Game Studios that has in its ranks some pretty experienced developers and artists.
You can check more about them on their site, and also, you can pre-order the Neo Geo version right now.

Juggle-heavy gameplay with recoverable grey-health feels very inspired by SOR4 - look forward to this!
Those mechanics pre-date SoR4 by a very very long time! A lot of the game play inspiration actually came from, "what if Marvel vs. Capcom was a beat'em'up?" Or even what if Bayonetta was a 2D beat'em'up. Marvel series also used grey health on the tag system.
Thanks a lot Ricardo! Yeah, I am waiting for this cool, oldskul, arcade Beat’Em Up, with a huge impatience, in the style of late 1980s, 1990s. I wanted to play as Looney, but now I see, that Golem is incredible. He is not only can perform spectacular Wrestling style throws and cool specials, with unique attacks, but he is also quite fast. Usually this class, of “Tank” chars are pretty slow.
Never heard of this one before. Looks great so far. Definitely getting Nightslasher vibes.
Looks and plays great!! This is a very solid game and probably one of the best this year.
Do you own a Neo Geo, dude?
@beatemup No I don't. I could never afford any of the games 😂
@Champion2D hahahah I know the feeling.
That robot smashes enemies heads like sparrow's egg between thais!🥚
Yo! The juggling. I like the tunes. Thank you for not spoiling us👾
the graphics reminds me of Neo Geo's Robo Army which is good.. I love the juggle combos this game looks promising, I will add this on my wishlist.. this is way way better than the GI Joe: Wrath of Cobra ahaha..
The steam page is not on yet, but I will let you guys know when it happens, which will be soon!!
It is also on ps store, a very remarkable game indeed, old milestone imho.
My vote for the wrestling robot! Looks a lot of fun
Nice! I was waiting to see more about this game!
I hope I helped you with that!👊
Aspetta di vedere anche il remake che faranno di Night Slasher bro.
The animation in this looks very cool! 😊
This reminded me about Metro Siege. If you haven't heard about it already it's a beat 'em up being developed for the Amiga, but will also be available on Steam etc. The developers are Bitbeam Cannon. It's really interesting seeing people develop games within the limitations of older hardware like this.
Hey man!👋🏻 Your face it reminds me of someone I have been interacting with on another youtube channel before... sorry are you a Warhammer 40K fan from the Space Wolves chapter by any chance mate?🧐
@@emanueletintori1229 Not me, sorry! I haven't played Warhammer since I was a teenager and I played an Imperial Guard army :)
Here's hoping this becomes a Final Vendetta kind of success! Looks really good thus far.
What a fantastic video this is TFK. I posted this up on the Neo-Geo thread for others to take notice over on the forums on AtariAge for all to be impressed thank you for sharing this with us. 8^)
A pleasure, my friend, and thank you so much for sharing it! It helps me immensely!!👊

Anthony..
Double Dragon meets Resident Evil meets Mad Max.
Gorgeous looking game!
Shame that the modern ports will be in 4:3 but I'll wait for it to release and see what people say. I actually may get some use out of my wireless NeoGeo controller.
The game is developed on and for Neo-Geo hardware. We are simply making a modern port of that version of the game. If there was a way to make it 16:9 without needing to refactor and rescope the whole game, we'd do it. But it's insanely hard to do and costly. And, sadly, we just don't have those funds as a first game indie dev team!
The graphics looks good but nothing beats Street of rage 1,2 3 😅
The 4:3 aspect ratio is for NEO GEO right? For Steam version it will be 16:9?
Nope. 4:3 all around.
The game is being made for the Neo Geo and is being ported to modern consoles and steam.
It will have either black bars or art or something else useful for players. You can also stretch to 16:9 if that's your fancy.
Looks interesting, and out of curiosity- the girl seems to have knives stored in her gauntlet, the guy has a cannon in his arm- does the robot have some kind of extra weapon? And are these weapons like... just the finishing punch in combos, or are they like extra weapons they can equip or de-equip to change up their combos?
About the robot, nope. He doesn't has any weapon.
The girl, Candy, can only use hers blades in the end of a combo, but the dude, Loony, can shoot his arm anytime you want.
The game play mechanics are a bit different than a traditional beat'em'up. Each character gets a unique signature move that drastically changes how they play. Golem, as our grappler/wrestler archetype, has throwing as his signature move. So instead of walking into enemies and maybe getting a couple standard throw options for the whole playable cast, we instead made a super grappler who can grab at any time. You can throw forward, suplex back, throw up in the air (great for 2 player), slam down to the ground and cause an OTG bounce, do a pile driver, throw both ways while in the air to airborne enemies and even air pile drive an enemy.
I'll keep the descriptors for the other two light...but you'll get the picture!
Candy gets a cartwheel that lets her groundNpound, have i-frames, instant uppercut to start a juggle and jump further as well as teh cartwheel causing re-launches.
Loony has a missile that acts more like Dhalsim and allows the player to do extended range combos and keep enemies in the air.
@@amerikaOnFire I see- so for Loony his rocket-arm is the tool that marks him out, for Candy it's more movement-based, and Golem has what sounds like the biggest move-set in the game, but you gotta get up close to use it. Sounds pretty cool, a nice way to separate them all!
@@goranisacson2502 Yeah, that is exactly it! I wanted to make sure basic combat was consistent between the characters, but then their Signature move made them stand out on their own and gave them a combat identity.
yes, the red robot is broken.
Broken?? How?
@@beatemup seems too strong. look at his range!
Oooh... I am not sure about that, I mean, I didn't play too much with him, but he has some disadvantages when compared to the others. He is less mobile and you can be hit pretty easily.
@@beatemup Im curious to play him.
@@FelpsFGC Hah, the idea behind all of the characters is making them "broken" in very specific ways that makes them powerful, but not godlike. Think of Marvel vs. Capcom where, on paper, a lot of moves/combos seem broken. But the game, for the most part, is balanced around that.
Very cool but I ordered the game and have no news from the developers, no update, no email, nothing
Weird. I will talk to the dev and see what's going on.
esse jogo tá animal. Espero conseguir uma key pra review
Nope, it looks like the bad copy of nightslashers, better to wait the remake of it than wasting money for an actual rip off imho.😒 Go Savino, the beat'em up overlord!❤🤙🏻
Maaaaaan, you couldn't be more wrong! This plays nothing like Night Slasher. Actually, I think it plays better than the original one, since you have all the air combos and juggles.
It is really something different.👊
@@beatemup
Is that so?🤔 Ok but nightslashers has still got a better settings, scenarios at least imho! Ok then, I might give it a chance whenever it comes out though.
@emanueletintori1229 trust me, bro!! I am telling you! This will be 🔥!!!
@@beatemup
Gotcha, if you recommend it I'll buy it along with the phantom game thank you!😊
This looks slow and basic. I'm honestly surprised some people are excited for this.
Honestly, it's far from both. The combat is has a lot of depth and the game can be pretty hectic.
Keep in mind that I can't show yet a lot of it, only a few bits of the first two levels.
I love how all these modern Neo Geo games look like games you wouldn't pay £30 for on the SNES back in 1992, never mind £300 on the AES. But even back in the day SNK were hopeless are creating scrolling beat-em ups. Ninja Combat, Mutation Nation, Robo Army - dull garbage compared to Final Fight, Cpt Commando, TMNT, The Punisher, Cadillacs, AvP, Metamorphic Force, etc
