Mods That Don't Work On Your Dodge Scatpack 6.4L Engine ** You Might Be Surprised - MUST SEE**

  • I discuss what mods DO NOT work by themselves to add any power on you Dodge Challenger or charger scatpack -- and if they do it is very minimal. MOST bolt on mods need more parts in unison to help add power that can be seen and felt on a dyne! don't get me wrong they do add performance and can help but again with other parts in mind!

    Good topic! In my experience of owning both, the 5.7 Challenger takes to Mods better than the 392. I thought about Modding, but the 392 is optimized great with a Stock Tune. Once you start down that path, you move further away from reliability, but to each their own, 93 Octane with a K and N Drop In work fine. The Performance Parts manufacturers do claim gains, but the Dyno doesnt lie...lol.

  • @Haterade888
    @Haterade888 Před rokem +7

    A tune is the best mod for improving your performance in the Scat. Without a tune all these nickel and dime bolt ons are just reducing the balance of your checking account. Yes long tubes, high flow cats, bigger throttle body coupled with high flow CAI will give you noticeable power...but only if tuned. Remember too, that any dyno results you see in online videos are done in cool managed garages or rooms on static level surfaces. You won't be able to always feel that dyno'd 30-50 hp gain on the streets. Now at a 1/4 mile track you can see the benefits...but they won't be huge. Everything else is the placebo effect. Remember this is a 2+ ton vehicle. You need forced induction to get the best bang for your buck in hp gains. No offense to people that just like to do mods. Best advice is save up some more money and get a Hellcat. Good luck on those streets!

      that's the thing the dyno is just numbers, in real world the engine is under load its how responsive it feels UNDERLOAD not just on a roller i got cold air intake if i dyno it sure it wont make power but on the road when the engine is underload it gets that HP much easier with less restriction plus i live in cold climate and it makes a difference

  • @MrRtHemi
    @MrRtHemi Před 7 měsíci +3

    You're absolutely correct! I have tuneed and dyno both open and enclosed boxes i found the hellcat or superstock intake puts out the most hp. Vs the open it actually dropped the hp by 1 or 2 hp.. also recommend get a bigger tb.

  • @NXT_LVL
    @NXT_LVL Před rokem +3

    Your engine is an air pump, treat it as such. Hot air Intakes, just swap to a K&N drop in filter and keep the stock routing. Run the fuel correct and best per the setup for your tune or vehicle. You're not gaining anything when you Run E85, it'll run a bit cooler, but your OEM fuel system isn't setup for it, unless it has a flexfuel sensor. Larger throttle bodes mean nothing when your plenum volume or displacement hasn't increased...

    • @NXT_LVL

      Pedal commander just changes the digital mapped ramp in the throttle position senor/drive by wire system. ie: 20% is now 35% etc. You just hit 100% signal for the throttle using less pedal. Hotter coil packs and NGK plugs... Depending on the fuel octane will give a cleaner fuller combustion burn.

    Nothing works by itself but they do give something. You just gotta kno in wht order to buy this stuff. Saying it don't do nothing alone is a lie. Of course if you put 5 things on at one time you gone feel that difference. If a cai keeps your car running a lil cooler how does it not do nothing. You just gotta get the right one by doin your research. Don't believe the numbers they claim but they do work. As you accelerate heat dont just sit under your hood. The vents on the hood and air from the front of the car push air outta the back of your hood where the windshield is. Ijs
