Hanabi and Magic Maze are incredibly divisive. These particular titles can be frustrating and turn folks off.
The other games you listed were solid choices! Thanks for the continued content. I hope you’re doing well.

Little “gun” guy shoulda been a red shirt, don’t you think? :). Great video! I think you might’ve sold me on Just One. Also, can I ask why you chose Forbidden Island over Forbidden Desert? It seems many people prefer Desert.

I chose Forbidden Island over Forbidden Desert as it is very very simple to explain especially for anybody who has not played a cooperative board game before. I would call it an excellent leap frog game into board gaming. I do agree that Forbidden Desert is the better game, but there is slightly more to explain in it.

Board Game Sanctuary Okay, that makes sense. Forbidden Desert was actually my first cooperative board game during my first few months in the hobby. My brother lent it to me, and I played it with two new-to-boardgames friends. Don’t remember it being that hard, but maybe I just got lucky with having two very patient friends.

A bit off topic question, but what is the game with different sided dice in the intro, around 0:35?

Hmm... I think I like Forbidden Desert better.

I do like Forbidden Desert. I also think it is better than Forbidden Island. I think that Forbidden Island is simple enough to introduce to players who have not played a cooperative board game before. Forbidden will feature in a future list video coming soon :)
