    Brother I have a question,if I welded a piece And Need one more pass of welding.do j need to remove previous weld's flux..or Take another welding pass and Remove flux at the end

    • @ambroscustom
      @ambroscustom  Před 2 lety

      First that was not flux. It was slag that form on the welded surface to prevent it from oxidation. And you have to remove the slag with the chipping hammer to make another pass. Other wise you get very porous weld and improper weld bead.

    Sir I'm planning to buy a welding machine to do some work at my home like grills and gates , should I buy a 200 amp welding machine or 220 amp welding machine and I wanted to know is it safe for house metre and wire .

    • @ambroscustom
      @ambroscustom  Před rokem

      Yes, A 200amp machine is absolutely fine for these types of works. As far as safety is concerned the normal(5A) socket most probably gonna melt with welding machine. The wiring around 6mm is recommended for safe work. You can use 16amp socket but if welding current goes beyond 120amp the socket is going to melt. So if wiring and socket is good then you can do in house without any issues. You should definitely need to switch off some of the appliances like AC, washing machine and other heavy load items, because during the welding there is a little fluctuations occurs. It's not bad but for better protection kept them off. I was doing this for past five years without any issues except melting sockets. Rest is upto you.
