I just wish they would do another teamwork album like 33. If ya don’t know, for probably most of their stuff now, whichever string player writes the riff and programs drums then Tomas learns it. Sometimes Tomas has a groove first and programs a riff then the stringists will work with that. They banged 33 out together. With Koloss, they started writing together, only did “Swarm” before going back to their usual. I don’t know why…pretty sure though it’s not because of inability to get along…
My grandpa died today. I am heartbroken. I dedicate this song to him. He survived wars and the harshness of his time. I also think of my grandma who is surviving him... but for how long? This really makes me miss my friends. Six or seven years ago was the last time we did this at a show. I still have the videos of the crowd moshing and us drunkenly singing along to System Of A Down’s Chop Suey on the FOH while August Burns Red’s crew was setting up onstage. I still give my one friend a hard time over some miserable cunt telling him “hey, the mosh pit’s that way” when we were headbanging like this during the show. I’ve been super isolated and had zero social life since beginning flight attendant training nearly two months ago because it’s so intense but I’m almost finished. Just wanted to say thank you for pointing out this part in the video because it brought back a ton of good memories. I’m going to do my best to make time for my friends on my days at home when I’m on the line.
Dude that's the exact way me and my friends were banging at our first Meshuggah Concert last month, at some point I just grabbed my friend who was to my left, he grabbed the one to his left and a few songs later i grabbed some random dude who was there on his own and we spent like the last 20-30 minutes of the set like that, banging our heads. By far my favorite concert experience and I was so happy to share it with friends
The sound you're thinking of is not a broken tornado siren, but an alternate sound used in big cities to distinguish the tornado siren from the common fire or ambulance siren. It's still a cool moment, though.
Still one of the best segments of music ever created. The work of Edvard Hansson on lighting design it's something truly unique, that crescendo from 04:14 to the explosion in 04:22, or from 06:54 to the start of the guitar solo, I love those and many other parts
Saw them play this live in London last year. Really bold decision to cut Bleed out of the set list and put this in, and I seriously respect it. This piece at the Albert Hall was one of the best live music performances I’ve ever seen, period. The groove from 9:10 to 10:20 is the nastiest thing I’ve ever heard in my life.

@@zkkrhfhskathat is so refreshing to hear. I feel like that is all anyone wants. Bleed is seriously my least favorite song. It is great live, mind you, but they have so many killer songs, it never gets played by me

I was at the london show earlier this year amd can confirm that minds mirrors and the songs after was one of the highlights. It sounds like thunder and shakes the whole venue. Great band

I got crowdsurfed at my favorite band during my favorite song!!! Fucking crazy. Meshuggah isn’t always my favorite but they always hold a place in the golden years of my life

Torche and Converge opened up. No videos though, unfortunately. I was there entirely for the Shuggs. Torche was pretty good, but their frontman had serious issues with his pedalboard. He had to go back and forth switching guitars and cables with no help causing delays between songs. It was a disaster. Converge I was never a fan of. I literally nodded off and fell asleep for a bit in my seat waiting for Meshuggah to come on. In Flames replaced Converge on the 2nd half of the tour. Would've loved to have seen them instead.
@@NewYorkMetalShows will agree that converge At silver spring Md on The 20th had alot of Problems. After the First song they had to delay to the Vocalist Guitar. But i did like Converge When they played live. Never heard of them before this concert and they were good. Meshuggah was So GOOD
I was up in the front for this show (maybe like 7 people in front of me) and people were really chill. Very light moshing but a lot of jumping and excitement from the viewers going in that area of the crowd. And for the first time at a metal show (that I've been to, of a fairly large size), there was no crowdsurfing going on that I saw AT ALL. I saw some in the video, but still, it was a lot less than average for sure. Just a lot of people grooving out and having fun
Anything off 33 always slays.

Without a doubt: the best part of this video is at 12:56, in the bottom left corner of the screen: A bunch of bros, arm in arm, headbanging.

literally commented that the solo sounds like a broken tornado siren 😂 which i think is what was used as the siren head sound effects
10:25 this is the slappiest moment of the entire C33 imo. It’s up there with entrapment solo and sum.
