Disruption vs Innovation

What's the difference between disruption and innovation? Well, innovation is a false promise. It says that it's going to be easy, we're going to find the answer in a certain timeline with an investment. It's something that the CEO imbues a group of people to say, "Go and innovate. Come up with the answer. Save the company." And, "It's all going to be nice and easy."
Disruption though is honest. It says, "If we're going to create growth, create change, it's going to be hard, it's going to be painful and the journey ahead is going to be filled with obstacles and boulders that we have to climb over." I think if you want to think about disruption or innovation, which one do you really want? Do you want the honest truth of the painful journey ahead or do you want deceit?

I own a SAAS company that does make what our customers do a lot easier because it completely automates key repetitive actions. So we need a halfway point between the two distinctions 👍
