Dover Elevators at 1809 Barrington (CIBC Building)

The elevators have been upgraded with bright new MAD lobby fixtures. Oddly enough the interior was left alone. The equipment is still original Traflomatic controllers from 1977.

Interesting how the floor number changes right away when the door closes. I really like those upgraded exterior floor numbers, it’s a really unique display

The floor number changing prematurely was actually quite a common feature on the old Dover elevators. Founders Square prior to modernization and Duke Tower are other examples. I like the new display too. I hope they make the cab fixtures match at some point.
