Who eats a Krabby Patty at 3 AM. Patrick has an alarm set and a Krabby Patty under his bed, LOL! Oh Boy, 3 AM!
I do who are you
No balls all talk huh
Denny wasn’t wrong. And Marcus Smith’s jabs about not taking advice from someone who hasn’t won NASCAR Cup Series Championship were especially ironic since he listens to Dale Jr. all the time.
Love it....
Denny Hamlin is the biggest joke of nascar and he will never win a cup and when he is retired he will be forgotten

Nice one
Denny: "your pavement sucks"
Marcus: "and i took that personally". At least have more than 1 comeback if youre going to engage in a twitter argument.
Mf pulled a "no bitches?" But with "no championships?"💀
Omg that's the best response I've seen
That last tweet felt like a well crafted message from the PR team 🙂
The most bizarre beef in NASCAR history.
I’m not an 11 fan on track, but I’m an off-track Denny Hamlin fan.
100% agree. I also respect Denny more for his off-track duties.
I actually share that a little
I think that is where I have ended up as well. (I was never a 11 fan on track)
Fair enough
When he’s right, he’s right
The lightning McQueen joke was top-tier
Keep in mind that DHs frustrations might also come from the owner stand point and the TV deal and the fact that tracks gets almost half of the pie in comparison to the teams getting penny's
For sure. Like I said in the video I bet they haven't seen eye to eye in a while.
Im having trouble feeling sorry for some of these owners who have outside money and if they’re hurting so badly then maybe they should cut back on the amount of teams they own.
Agreed! I dont feel sorry for owners who create their own problems.
@linhunnicutt6556 to an extent I agree. You don't need a state of the art garage that 23XI is building, and they don't need to expand beyond 2 cars and buy up another charter all while living in a luxurious house with his car in it.
However the tracks get half of that money and most don't invest in it like they should to bring more folks in. Today's market, most want an experience not just a ticket. That's with any big event. Track owners shouldn't just have 1 or 2 races a year and then let it sit dormant.
So I see what you're saying just the track owners need to do more, and some have.
@@linhunnicutt6556yeah, like how Gordon was bitching a year ago how HMS is hemorrhaging from lack of sponsors. Clearly, putting Rick's own dealership money in it doesn't cut it today just like it didn't cut it back in the 80's either. Just cut that fourth team that you already know is never going to have any real sponsors
My heart sank when I thought it was Denny Hamlin beefing with Marty Smith.
Hamlin would argue with a mirror if he felt it would get him more attention. Appropriate that he owns the #45.
that no championships comeback is something you say for like a nascar goat debate not a comeback for your track falling apart lol
Don't forget... Bristol dirt only came about because they completely ruined the track when they repaved/reconfigured it too! I held season tickets for years up until then, and haven't been back.
Bristol dirt completely gone but still love Bristol concrete
The Bristol before the progressive banking was better
Nah it's cause nascar got way less popular and no one was going to the spring race to the point where it almost wasn't profitable lmao
@@austinking9912yeah but you gotta admit, the most recent race with the resin on the track and the tire wear was somethin'
Eric fake yelling "you bum!' was something I didn't know I needed to see LOL
One thing that wasn’t on my bingo card was Hamlin vs practically everyone on earth
being fast in a Toyota gets you most of the way there. Carl Matt and Martin are the only ones that haven't been turned into villains because of nationalism from half a century ago.
Why do I get the feeling that this repave is going to lead to the WILDEST race in Sonoma’s history.
Wilder than the tire situation in Bristol?
Okay!
@@james_chatman he said in Sonoma's history. Never said anything about bristol
Hi I live like 30 minutes from Sonoma so I'm gonna defend the repave; the weather here has been GOD AWFUL for the track lately. It has gone from 2-3 days of rain to perfect Spring California weather to a day of on and off downpour back to sunny skies. No wonder the fresh pavement is already coming up, my commute has a dozen more potholes than usual.
I’m right there too that is very true
Being a Napa native, I third this. ☝️
They just don’t understand
Ya but the contractors know when not to pave
@@stevealber9779they have a tight repave schedule between track scheduled events, that also gives the asphalt the proper amount of time to cure before the heavy ground pounding classes come to town.
Denny is not afraid to stand up and go against an executive…
That’s how a non-champion would act. Classless and short tempered
@@GASparky217 I rather he be "classless" than kiss the ass of an executive
Denny started this by assuming the paving issues were budget related. I thought Denny was smarter than not to make assumptions but apparently not.
@bobbbobb4663 So what IS the issue? Do they even know? He never addressed the actual problem. He just started throwing the "lol no championships" insult at him like a child. Not saying Hamlin handled it perfectly, but I thought Marcus was smarter than that.
@@MongoJoe7863 No idea what the issue is but for Denny to speculate on an issue that he has no knowledge shows his lack of intelligence especially as a car owner.
Remember when Bruton reconfigured Bristol? Fans didn’t like the progressive banking with side by side racing so he pulled a knee jerk and ground 10% off the top of the track. He thought it would bring the “OLD Bristol” back but just created a single groove at the top of the track. Just terrible!
54 Cup Series Wins give you pretty damn good credibility…

@brandonmccain4031 Texas has actually put on some decent races with the new car and they seem to be getting better every year as the pavement ages.
I think it puts on one good race a year for the next 10 years of they just leave it alone.
@@RooneyMac nah then I won’t have a track to go to close

While Marcus was kinda clowning on himself. I like the idea of corporate stooges having no filter and just beefing with random users
Just goes to prove, never text or email when drinking!
Tony Stewart was able to make lots of drivers mad at him. Denny Hamlin has somehow figured out how to make lots of drivers, fans, and now even industry members mad at him. who's the real goat?
Well, Denny hasn't got anyone mad enough that they commit seppuku on track yet so Tony is still the GOAT
@@wingracer1614this ☝️
tony
Tony because he has a couple of championships to back it up 😎
@@southernmermaid2526 and Tony has championships with his own team. He is also the only driver who has won an Indy championship and NASCAR Cup championship.
Keep going, okay, we add Midget, USAC Triple Crown and IROC championships.
And has won NHRA Top fuel rounds, has won sprint car races, and has a higher K/D ratio.. 😂
So Denny is a wannabe, when compared to Tony who has been there and done that, and has the souvenir T-shirts.
I guess you made this video before it happened but Denny also made a reply to Marcus Smith's apology post (if you will) saying: "Ill cosign this. I’ll definitely take responsibility for my part in it. It got more personal than it should have for sure." - Denny Hamlin 4/5/2024.
😂😂😂😂 I love it!! So glad you made a video on this or I would've never seen it
That last post wasn't directly from Marcus it was from his PR team 😂
Dude should be more focused on repaving tracks correctly instead of arguing on social media. 😂 He could have easily just explained the issue and kept it moving, but decided to get mad and make it personal. The childish "no championships" argument is dumb too. Mark Martin and Dale Jr. must suck too then, huh?
To be completely fair, one of the first things Marcus said was that Denny could call him and ask why it was happening rather than just assuming. I think Denny probably should have done that. Might have been educational for him and for us. But like you said, Marcus could have also just publicly explained the issue right then and there.
@@JBAlternate To be completely completely fair, doing so would not have addressed the issue of being called ignorant in public. By the same logic, Marcus could have called Denny and discussed it in private.
For sure, marcus seems a little soft ..
You gotta be able take criticism..

Eric, YOU are NASCAR as it should be! My enjoyment of the sport is at least 3 fold what it could be because of your coverage and perspective, and ive been watching 27 years since i was 11! You are the gold standard, and your love of stock car racing is infectious! Thank you for raising NASCAR to a higher level everyday, and keep it up!
im NO asphalt engineer.but watched the state repave the road by my house several times in 28 years of living here.they NEVER lay asphalt on a bare regound base WITHOUT a spray from the tar trucks FIRST. that old ground down asphalt had NO tar spray to promote adhesion.hence it came up.like i said IM NO EXPERT.just an observation.
I know absolutely nothing about paving, but my first thought was that it looked dry under the new pavement, no adhesive. I had the same thought as you. So that makes me wonder; what other parts of the track are like that and how much of the new track surface will come up?
Bingo! The tack coat didn't bind to the lower layer, so it only penetrated the upper layer. If the layers aren't bonded well, the upper layer will definitely debond and ravel out.
This is most definitely a bonding issue with the tack coating layer that doesn't appear to exist on the ground binder course.
When you grind down an existing surface to resurface, the tack coating is key to the bonding. Otherwise this happens when large shearing forces from heavy braking force are applied. Usually from bus or truck traffic.
So if the contractor "missed a spot" they're to blame. However if the client didn't elect to apply the tack coating at all, they're to blame.
These be the types of arguments me and my friends be having on the game at 3 in the morning 😭
Maybe denny started this controversy to avoid talking about the restart at Richmond 🤔
This!
That's what it looks like to me
I think everyone knows that Denny jumped the start, but dont blame him for NASCAR's failure to enforce its' rules!
I am not a Denny fan by no means. But Denny didn’t break the rules anymore than Martin did. Martin was lagging back a little bit to get a better start. That also is against the rules.
@@gone2bch in my opinion denny broke the rules when he involved a person's dead relative into the conversation which is a low blow in the worst way possible
Best point made byEric: “something to talk about to hep us forget Hamlin jumping the start at Richmond”
How did we go from bad pavement at Sonoma,to denny hamster get dissed for not winning any chips, to Marcus asking for golf tips 💀
Sounds like we heard the end of the argument, who knows what led up this. DH is always right about everything so it's not like arguing with a normal person.
True, but he's never wrong if you listen closely. Man is never out of pocket, he brings facts and data. You can disagree, but you cannot disprove his assertions.
I’m no Hamlin fan but it is difficult for me not to side with him on this one.

Was looking forward to this episode!
Marcus telling Hamlin to count his rings in hysterical. Denny is a savage fr.
Get off your knees
@@FlungFluPanda who am I blowing?
I'd say Denny came out on top. Marcus Smith really has no accomplishments of his own and the buck stops with him even though everyone else does the real labor, so it had nothing to do with the employees at his company. Denny has worked for everything he's got, building race cars, moving up the ranks, making it to Cup, winning 50+ races, and building a company from the ground up into a competitive/winning organization already. Having a company handed down to you means you equals 'easy mode."
It’s about time someone prominent went after Marcus smith idk why Dale jr is friends with him dude sucks
Dale tries to be friends with everyone because he has too big of a brand. He doesn't want beef both because it could hurt his brand, and it could take some names off his guest list for the podcast. The more people he has a positive professional relationship with, the better it is for him.
@@gamez4420 and the better it is for the sport to get those perspectives
@@NASCARDAWGYT Let's not forget that Marcus Smith put forth the money to back Dale Jrs effort of reviving North Wilkesboro, from the ashes of NASCAR burning it to the ground.
Smi and nascar are both crappy organizations
Bruton was king at fucking everything up and saying dumb shit, and Marcus is just carrying on his legacy.
I'm surprised Hamlin didn't use the " When I win my championship it wont be at one of your tracks"

I wish nascar would race at Sonoma in the spring, I like seeing the greenery around the track.
I will bet my paycheck that Marcus Smith did not type in his last post. That was HR damage control straight down the line!
Denny is the new KFB and I love it!
Man, that’s hilarious. Thanks for sharing. Gen X wouldn’t make it through that much social media 😂
Looks like they used as little asphalt at Sonoma as possible.

That Twitter beef got ruff just like the surface at most SMI tracks.
Not a fan of Hamlin, but man he burned rich boy who never had a real job cry baby Smith.
You and Stapleton are young guys that are bookends. You keep us informed about now, and he reminds us of the history... love it
I pave roads for a living... there is no tack. Tack is the glue that bonds the new asphalt to the old milled surface.
Which could have been a bad decision by the contractor and not by the track owner.
@@jeremyharper3462 To be fair, you get what you pay for. Maybe hire a competent paving company.
@mattthacker9120 lol!!! You don't have any idea who they hired or what they paid, or if they paid what they should have.
I'm glad you've never effed up at work. I know i have, very infrequent, but it's happened and i fixed it at my expense.
How do you determine they are competent before they do the job?
You don't think they checked references? Maybe perused a few yelp reviews?
And beyond that, competent companies can still crap the bed.
The test is do they make it right and can they do so in time for the scheduled race?
Let's all give em a chance, whoever it was that dropped the ball, and see if they recover the fumble and score.
The thing about arguing on social media, someone will always screen shot the convo before posts are deleted….
This was something I did not have in my 2024 bingo card…
I didn't know this went down .... OMG ... I was hopping up an down in my chair listening to that read! Count them rings son !!! LMAO
I was there for this. I live on the west coast and the beef started around 9 or 10pm for me so it was late as hell on the east coast 🤣
They did not put down a tac coat before paving
I hope for denny to go another season with naked fingers.
Keep this championship wins like those insurance commercials just outa reach and someone saying you gotta try harder then that.
I just tracked Sonoma and the repave was amazing! That track is awesome. Hopefully they can fix whatever is wrong
Unfortunately the surface at the TMS dirt track sucks too.
No rings... that is even below the belt in my eyes 😂
Damn thats some spicy content. I love it!
A little off topic, Texas has had issues since the first lap of the first race.
I don’t mind a public beef like this. Denny and Marcus are grown men and both can obviously dish out and take insults. The irony is that Marcus told Denny he won’t listen to someone who isn’t a series champion but he’ll take advice from Dale Jr. The last tweet sounds like something from the PR department written in an attempt to smooth things over. I’m sure someone at SMI is smart enough to know that screen shots of the conversation exist and this was their cover your ass move.
Did you happen to see the Danica Patrick interview on Kenny Wallace show man she talked some serious shit about Martin Truex, Junior, Danny, Hamlin, and Joey Logano
She has a big mouth too. Bet she been put down on the pavement a lot thicker than the repave job. Talking shit about Truex was none of her business
Eric. Not video related but I have been trying to figure out what road course you have on the wall behind you for a while. Insight ?
That COTA. Circuit Of The Americas in Austin TX
No one talks about the Xfinity race at Atlanta. It was single file THE WHOLE DAMN TIME. It was embarrassing. Give it 3 more years and see where the cup series is.
That was very entertaining!
I too am just like Denny Hamlin. I have no nascar cup series championships
😂😂😂 love it!!
SMI, surly has it's issues but you can't say Marcus hasn't tried. On multiple occasions. Maybe.... things have turned out on the wrong side more times than not, With that said, what the heck does Denny know about what goes into repaving?? Sure he and MJ have just built a state-of-the-art complex but are you going to tell me they went with the highest bidder's on this project. Or did they go with a companies that had reputable reputations at a fair price. I would think Marcus would do the same. Sure he should have explained what might have caused the problem but Denny threw the first punch when he blamed it on Marcus being cheap.
Exactly. Said this in my video on the argument.
This is exactly what happens when you open your mouth without putting your brain in gear! Denny needs to worry about himself and leave everything else alone!
Wow, a couple of spoiled rich, (okay, Smith is way beyond rich) men acting like 7th graders. Alcohol is a wonderful thing.
Also remember SMI levigating Bristol and they ruined it forever. Used to be the hottest ticket in NASCAR. SMI has had more failures than than successes messing with their tracks.
@johnhaas2523 Read my comment again. I never said anything about Marcus. I referred to SMIs record on modifying tracks. Atlanta has been the only successful one.
Well, we don’t have any adults in the political arena, so I guess other high level management people think they can act like children as well.
SMI has alot to loose . ISC is Nascar. SMI messes up ,Nascar moves the races at their tracks . ISC messes up , it's their money and track .
This is why I’ve become a Denny fan over the last few years😂
We need more stuff like this is needed more real nascar
Good info.
Marcus Smith was really just like: "These driver's talkin out of they necks..." LMFAOOOO
That last tweet made him look like an idiot
Denny is basically the driver that stands up to NASCAR's stupidity. But I do agree that they were acting unprofessional.
If you think about it, NASCAR fans are almost just as hypocritical as the guy they're claiming is a hypocrite. They make fun of Dennis nonstop for having no titles, yet worship Mark Martin, Dale Jr, and Carl Edwards nonstop... Despite said drivers having the same amount of championships as Dennis.
You're 100% right about NASCAR fans. I just saw a video where Bubba walked up to Kyle Larson post-race and apologized and they accused him of trying to get some TV time
The problem is that Mark Martin and Dale Jr don't have the same personality as Hamlin. Unlike them, Hamlin comes off as a petty, narcissistic, self absorbed jerk who never wants to listen to others and will simply step his foot down and try to keep any criticism off him. Martin and Jr were more calm and gentle, always just trying to do good for their fans and stay out of trouble. Its easier to make fun of Hamlin in the sense of "he can't win a championship cause he's too full of himself"
Based on the latest financial disclosure, Speedway Motorsports reported 1.05 B of revenue. This is 69.99% lower than that of the Industrials sector and 71.36% lower than that of the Industrial Distribution industry. The revenue for all Germany stocks is 88.87% higher than that of the company.
Eric while I agree the racing at Texas is not the best in NASCAR right now, the new belly-up bar and reconfigured front-stretch stands with the added tables is pretty nice. We'll see everyone there Sunday.
he did ruin Texas, Kentucky, bristol like 3 times. and Hamlin would have championships if they didnt have a dumb playoff system
I would be more than happy to see Denny be the fool in this situation. But honestly put, Smith got butt hurt by the truth....which isn't a good look, though a regular look from promoter, track owners, and affiliates around the nation..both with nascar and lesser sanctions. Clearly the track came up because the resurface was too thin. The picture shown, I'd say that new pavement is lucky to be an inch thick over top of the old surface. This is infact what happens when cutting corners catches up to you. Save today, pay tomorrow.
This kind of stuff absolutely should be argued in the public domain. NASCAR has far too many "behind closed doors" stuff that happens.
I bet dennys' dad is really proud of him after these last couple of days......
is this a re upload
Actions Detrimental may be interesting this coming week.
I have a feeling that Sonoma won’t race this year because of the new repave It’s coming apart apart
If North Wilkesboro replaces Sonoma, it might have a chance we’ll just have to see
So I'm not going too hard on SMI on this as I've noticed that there might be a general issue in the quality of asphalt in general lately. For example Bowman Gray Stadium was repaved for last season and after last season they checked the asphalt found it was wearing more than expected and ripped it all up and repaved it again. So I'm thinking something is up with asphalt in general right now.
