- On January 21st, eight members of SAS squadron Bravo Two Zero under the command of Sergeant Andy McNab are airlifted to northwestern Iraq. “The whole regiments effort was focused on stopping the scuds firing into Israel,” according to McNab. “The problem was there was no information; very little mapping and no satellite imagery of the area.” That lack of information would prove to be Bravo Two Zero’s undoing.

“The darkness was his only cover” is one of the most badass descriptors of a workday ever.
Now you know why it's so important to ruck march. In FTX at the end of infantry school we walked about 180 miles in 7 days and this shows why that was so important.
Lol was watching this with a friend who was in the special forces and he said the exact same thing

Truly an intense video to watch. My thoughts and prayers to those S.A.S members KIA during this opdration. As well as their family members left to grieve for them. 💪🏻🙏🏻✨
What a remarkable story .. .... often wonder what really human body and mind is capable of in time of despair....
Their courage and sacrifice will live on. Most amazing men on this planet. Thank u all for your services.
It is sad how the British believed the lies by Cheney and Rumsfeld and backed us invading another third-world country to steal its resources by milking sympathy for 9/11 instead of hunting down Bin Laden. That wasn't until another 3000+ Americans died in Iraq and President Obama went after the actual enemy. England should think twice about who is telling them what before sending British soldiers to die in a criminal war that never should have happened.
this must have been living hell!!! for these British. it's difficult to understand how rough this mission was these guys were brave and tough
This is true grit! We do not give our servicemen and women that credit they deserve! The sacrifices they make is astonishing! God bless them and their families!
Tears in my eyes😢😢😢😢😢Dear God bless you all.
I like this type of episodes please upload more thank you
Thank you for your service. Be safe out there people. Love to all
Andy McNab wrote a detailed book about this. may the squadron have the longest of lives and RIP to those who died.
It's a pity that so many of the details in that book were made up.
@@igrim4777 How do you know that?
His book was total garbage. Even his own squadron mates post bravo two zero didn’t want to know him.
That book was all a fantasy. It’s debunked 2.0
this book is mostly fiction based on real events, watch documentary from Michael Asher for what really happened
Reminds of someone close to my heart..💜✌️🙏🇵🇭
The world needs more real true heroes like the SAS COMMANDOS
MEN of STEEL. Never Forgotten.
Gay
Thanks WOW THAT'S AWESOME
Wonderful and extreme determination to live yet success and regain their lives.
Thank you all.. God bless you.
Heroes never die, your souls will always be remembered 10:42pm
Thank you for your service brothers
Unsung Heroes!!
36:25 EPIC gamer moment Chris
This is insane!!
Heart breaking documentary I have ever watched wow may their soul rest peace in heaven and salute to those commandos 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Namaste
They had 2 very very brave and extremely experienced sas operators and carried the honor of Anzacs from Australia 🇦🇺 and New Zealand.
God Damn. Everything just went wrong. Condolences to the families of the fallen
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the support!
Good bless these brave souls!
I had a book about this, writen by a SAS survivor. Heavy stuff. BRAVO TWO ZERO is the title.
I salute your bravery.
A fool is fearless in battle . A good solider is brave and fights on despite his fear and also does not fight sometimes because the risk is too high thus there is sensible fear
Wow....wow...wow...Amazing.
Best soldiers on the planet!
They couldn't cut the fibre optic cables. That's not a mission "accomplished". But these men are VERY brave. Kudos to them.
The entire military operation was immoral from the beginning…justified by deceitful lies…
WOW!! Insane...
U8 uu8 8uuhhhhh88 8 I u sub i
Because it's faked.
It's a tragedy they didn't have a constant guard adjust for observation, they would have seen the goats approaching and could have ran down the ditch and probably disappeared at least kept an eye on the goats and The Herder. Sorry for those that were lost. Nobody wins all of them all of the time I still do not question the commitment of the SAS. Grateful for your service from an admiring Yank.
Smart, brace and tough!
LoL
Abcabc 2018 oops.... typo. Should say ‘brave’ I think.
Brave!
Winston Churchill arranged for the British Special Forces to start & train the American Special Forces during WWII. During one particular op, the Americans that were held in an Iraqi prison were tortured and revealed where some of the British SAS were hiding. Some were captured, tortured, but never broke to disclose the whereabouts of their team mates. After much negotiation they were released a long time later. The British SAS normally NEVER disclose their identity nor speak to the press. But they were so incensed by what happened to them that they did. They announced they would NEVER work with the Americans again. I am proud of have known an SAS soldier and they are still the best in the world. & God Bless ALL military members around the world, they are incredibly brave people...Thanks for the video
i'm a yank, 82d airborne infantry (def NOT a Paratroop Unit!), SF national guard ('regular' army SF qual course), ranger school, 82 recondo school-- not one moment of serious training, 110%BS; no camaraderie, no esprit d' corps, no fighting spirit, & so on... Not so for SEALS, BUD/S, etc; tho, they have done some inexcusable fuckups since the 80s
@Chris Longski yeah, but def had me fooled for decades
Why are you lying?
What a lie
I know right a lie that repeats become the truth.
God bless this soldiers
Thankyou from Alaska, Please Consider Not Repeating Everything
Great soldiers these SAS COMANDOES .
God bless you all.
Those who lost their lives for the sake of their Mission I salute you.May their soul rest in peace.
There not commandos
@@adrianhide984 THEY'RE not.....
Short form of they are
do I shouldn't be alive I love that series
OMG! What courage! What brave men!!
What a blunder after blunder after blunder.
These guys are heroes!
Waoohhh bravo
You can tell there was no SAS technical advisory on this production.
indubitably
Super
I read the book, brave men all...
This happened before GPS was even operational. Tools of their trade have indeed improved over the last 30+ years.
Men of Steel never forgotten.
Thank you gentlemen, one and all for keeping our country safe and secure from foreign threats.
What?? lol.. bro the US started all this they came for oil and gold.
@@Somali_pirateThey live in their own reality.....
Also there a pretty good movie Bravo Two Zero based on McNabs book I highly recommend
Saw this a few times, did not have time to put it on.
I case you ever feel like you are having a horrible day, watch these guys try to survive a feeezing desert with enemy soldiers showing up at random.
"...enough ammunition for two weeks..." Isn't it relative to how much they fire? It's not like ammo is the same as water.
They had alot of ammo
They had enough ammo to fire for 2 weeks straight.
@@floppyfish2570 lol
PICARO NEWS I call bs on that
At the beginning of the commentators comments about the team's Background and training, he stated none of them had been trained in escape and evasion, Faulty equipment issued and obviously not checked before the mission.. This does not sound like any special forces team From America Did they accomplish anything from their mission other than wet pants.
What a wonderful goats 🐐
Wow, this could have ended way different if not for the boy with the 🐐
McNabs book book about this mission is so good his account of being tortured and how he fooled the Iraqis is incredible. Also his fiction books about Nick Stone are great even though by 2019 Nick is getting somewhat elderly for these missions I still enjoyed them. I really enjoyed the first 8 or 9 Stone books well worth reading.
Sad story 💔
Mistake after mistake...., R.I.P
Give me all the mistake
They glued calculators to the outside of a WWII radio
The dude who made it all the way is a badass all of them are
All of them are badass😎😎
That went well...
Poor communication was a problem that scattered them
This is an example of weak management of assets by the upper commands
u can say a set up for these men because of politics
I think Chris Ryan would be a perfect James Bond
The truly brave soldiers that saves the lives of others no matter how it cost and justice of others
Sounds like a movie and book shindig
Ahhh, yes, the Persian Golf War: Battle of the Pitching Wedges.
With their 9 irons waving in the air
Hypothermia is better than the alternative. I know hindsight is always 20/20, that radio is probably the most important thing they had.
In 5 days kill 250 enemy! Badass!!!!!
just not the mission.
That number was made up for the book. The British Army says that number is wrong and way too high
"Enough ammunition to last them two weeks"
Yeah right!!
Get pinned down by the enemy and the ammo you thought will end in two weeks starts getting depleted in less than an hour.
Separated for 4 day and killed 250 iraqi in bump in encounters ...spare me a rib
I try desperately not to nitpick at cases like this because I wasn't there. But even though I am a Marine Corps veteran and law enforcement officer I have never heard of a specific timeline or schedule that applies to the amount of ammo a man can carry.
Jarheads can carry all they want unless ordered to do otherwise. You can even see Seals, Force Recon, and other Tier 2 spec ops dudes carrying perhaps a dozen mags plus one in the rifle, which could be 390 rounds of 5.56NATO in 30 round mags or 260 if carrying 20 round mags. Either loadout has no calendar attached that I've heard of.
Damn I didn think that would be the outcome I thought perfect story do there jobs and get home R.I.P wow
Only in Hollywood does that happen staring Chuck Norris again! Horrible actor!
@Din Mamma he's the worst actor ever to make it big! All with a stone face that's all he ever offered!
What can you say about these brave men 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.
You should read Andy's book "Bravo Two Zero." It's freakin' awesome.
His books are the only books that i read all of them are good
this book is mostly fiction based on real events, watch documentary from Michael Asher for what really happened
Thank you to the SAS. We appreciate your contribution to this effort. It's easy to be a video game expert and to criticize from a warm comfortable arm chair. It's a whole different thing to be making decisions in the fog of battle with very little prior intel.
- Your friends in America
THANKS WOW KEEP IT UP FOR THE SAKE OF HUMANITY LOVE KINDNESS WOMEN POWER DIGNITY FREEDOM PROSPERITY AND HAPPINESS
22:40 I'm sure EVERYONE was dehydrated
Great documentary!!! But did anyone else notice the coms system had two calculators on it??😂😂
Out of curiosity......was the war because one nation wanted to play 9 holes, but the other wanted to play the full 18 holes of GOLF in the Persian GOLF War?
Tiger is the GOAT herder. I don't care what you say.
Wonder what happened to the people driving the taxi car that were left to freeze out in the desert.
Golf War, I remember the battle of Augusta National
Man what a mess
They forgot about the goats in the mission
??
‘Persian Golf War’ ...
is that the one lead by general T. Woods?
Didnt know the SAS were so quick to leave their men behind. Damn this sounded like a F up from the first step.
I think killing 250 men compared to 3 is a good comparison. Even though they did fail, everywhere they went they left with the enemy shattered
Agreed, left behind their TA-50, then man after man, then wondered why they never accomplished their mission, ran out of ammo and ran out of water.
They are actually trained/expected to leave their men behind if it risked compromising their own lives and/or mission, including those captured or even those that are wounded but still alive. It's cold blooded but effective, and one of the main things that separates British SAS from, say, US Spec Ops who would do anything in their power to never leave a man or body behind.
Great job . huaaaa. Buyaaaa.
Interesting that the experts didn't complete basic equipment testing with failure to test the radio system
the shepard is the real MVP
Is it the same story as Described in the Book Zero Six Bravo by Damien Lewis?
I found many similar plot in his book also, like that of Wadi and of a small goat boy.
Wow
@NotOften Told what
Bravo Two Zero.
Salute to team SAS and appreciate the narrating very good.
It’s very glitchy at the end.
Never knew Golf was that competitive.
I'm pretty teed off about it.
@@Orcinus1967 Had to read it twice to get it...
@@amirlach They seemed green to me..
I'm not leaving on a mission like that until I know my radios aer working properly
This is a great story. The only draw back is there's several versions of it. One thing that this not disputed is the team went into Iraq. Some were captured, some were killed or died, and one made the distance into Syria.
@Chief Big Bob RIGHT!!!!!!! LOL. I READ HIS COMMENT AND WAS LIKE... WHAT N THE BLUE HELL R U TALKING ABOUT....LOL😂😂😂
Great story, but not true. All fake from the moment they stepped off. The packweight, the distances, the enemy, all made up. Search the follow up story by another sas, who retraced the steps, interviewed the locals.
@@geoffcrumblin7505 I hate people you. Just because one came out with a book and a documentary claiming eveything is fake, does not mean you should not question him. "The real bravo two zero" is the most fake story, people who believe it dont know alot about special forces.
To tell all the truth of the story would be to share secrets they must keep of how they train and do missions. Never tell your enemy how you do jack, keeping him ignorant and fed misinformation helps you win and survive!
May God bless those who were killed they did sacrifice a lot to save the majority of lives. He knew why they were there and what their missions aim was about.
GOD....BLESS.....SAS...FORTIS...FORTUNA...ADIUVAT...dec 9 2021AD....
