I live in Madison county and it does seem like the area between Berea and Richmond is where most of our tornado warned storms seem to pass. Probably because it’s a very flat area. Also northern Richmond seems like a hot spot. Lived here all my life and actually we had an un-warned storm that produced a funnel cloud just last week.
My parents tell me about a horrible Tornado in Meade County. The whole ButterMilk river side of the Ohio river was torn up. I wasn’t born yet, but my dad was. I’m not sure how old he was. He living in E-Town and it still struck him.
I've actually been in two tornados first one i was a young kid and it touched down while me and my dad was visiting my aunt, it was right up on the hill behind her home...All the sudden the birds and the crickets that was making noise shut up in synch all of them at once, then the wind picked up and it was off it done a fair amount of damage to the surrounding area... Second one wiped out a town and headed towards my home, and the air had so much pollen in it being blown around it hurt my eyes, and nearly completely shut down my breathing...It was the most impressive as it had the main tornado and 3 small ones spinning around it, and i watched it come to a stop just outside my place, then walk sideways get to a neighbors home Literally Pick up off the ground skip his house, sit down on a small hill beside his home spin in one place then walk off into the distance out of sight...It was impressive, and terrifying all at once...
I live in New York ;-; I’m probably not close to Louisville, we had never had a tornado, I’m actually from Kentucky but I moved to New York for my best friend from FaceBook
I'm in Kentucky..pretty much almost protected by the mountains..right on the border of Tennessee and Virginia. But I have lived in Ohio and Indiana ...been thru 4 myself..to me it sounds like a jet
Just last Thursday Montréal canada was under a tornado 🌪 watch I was absolutely terrified as never never been in one and never want to be seen on news in the USA 😬! Thankfully all ok no tornado
Go more west of Kentucky towards madisonville smith mills Corydon and henderson Kentucky right on the border between Evansville Indiana the river separates Henderson and Evansville the 3 tornados that hit in one day around henderson and in Evansville was the worst I’ve seen never had a tornado in henderson and Evansville since 2006 and it tried to come back worse it was supposed to hit right through henderson and another one that did come through smith mills and cross over the river to Evansville which originated from Morganfield if the storm touched down any sooner it would be a different comment from me but it could’ve been a lot worse
+WKYT Did you hear about the tornadoes on 5/10/16 in western Kentucky in Benton and Greenville because I think they might've killed several people in western Kentucky and in Muhlenberg and Ohio counties.
I live in Barren County and never knew that there was a hotspot for tornadoes in Kentucky.
