COMUNA 13 was once considered not only THE MOST dangerous place in Medellín but also the murder capial of the world. This was due to PABLO ESCOBAR running NARCO activity out of COMUNA 13. However, following the demolisation of paramilitaries in 2002 and the mayor’s investment into the communty in 2006 - all of that has changed. Now, COMUNA 13 is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Medellín.
