Gunlā Bājan (Nepal Bhasa: गुंला बाजं) is devotional music played by the Newars of Nepal. "Gunla" is the name of the NINTH month in the Nepal Sambat calendar, which corresponds to August and "bajan" means "music" and "music playing group"
This Gunla Bajan played by SANKATA GUNLA BAJAN GROUP.
Gunla is a holy month for Newa Buddhists when they recite the scriptures and visit places of worship playing devotional music. The practice of observing the sacred month is descended from the rains retreat dating from the Buddha's time when monks stayed in one place and taught the Dharma

Why do people insist on Calling swyambhu mahachaitya as monkey temple and not any other temple such as Pashupati, guhyeshwari etc as monkey temple???? #itsnotmonkeytemple
