He may have had his critics during his brief stint with us but I think he deserves a place in West Ham folklore for firing us back into the PL. Take a bow, Ricardo Vaz Te!
Looking back, as a West ham United fan. It's amazing how these two teams have separated in fortunes. It's amazing what one game can do. And on the day I honestly reckon the better team lost
@Gary Eastman great comment. Playoffs are a lottery and personally I love them. Will forever remember west ham v Ipswich in 2005. My dad, west ham fan also, met me in the local for the game and then dropped me at the hospital, he wasn't drinking, and my eldest was born next morning.
Pool deserved to win - but 2 years earlier - we beat Cardiff to get to the Prem in the same Championship play-off final and probably didn't deserve to win - so it's balanced out overall.
Though he deserves criticism allerdyce have to be respected and considered a legendary coach because of bringing us back to the premier league which allowed us to win a european trophy in 58 years
Bill Leslie summed it up at the end all though the 2011/12 N-Power Championship as it was then known as season Sam Alladyce who was appointed at the start of the season after Avram Grant's dismissal after relegation the previous year was under pressure. This was because the West Ham fans, the board the late David Gold, David Sullivan and Baroness Brady demanded promotion and bookies had them down as favourites for the title. It wasn't pretty but under Sam Alladyce it never is they fluffed automatic promotion with too many draws 14 proved costly as they were edged out by the shock of the season Southampton and the eventual champions Reading. But on May 19th 2012 it was mission accomplished there was an irony about Vaz Te's winner David Sullivan had been moaning at Sam Alladyce throughout the season because of the lack of late winners West Ham had struck this was the perfect response
I was at this match in a seat just 3 rows back from the very top of the main stand! The players on the pitch almost looked like ants they were so far away !😮
Cannot watch without smiling COYI ⚒
i still think vaz te is gonna blast it over when i see that winning goal lol
Yeah my heart wss in my mouth 😆
Best £500,000 spent by West Ham.

I agree being a west Ham fan however as they say fortunes are always hiding
@@DameTremonti definitely the luck of the draw
It still hurts 11 years later and respect for being honest that's the only game I've thought how did blackpool loose that one #utmp
Sam Allardyce has a 100 percent record in play off finals and as England manager. GOAT 🐐
I know it was like 11 years ago but if that Nolan volley went in it would have been written into West Ham folklore
10 years ago today
Also our best kit since the 70s. Ironic that Blackpool look like they're wearing our awful third kit!
I was there, one of the best days of my life
Know the feeling mate I fell down the stairs when vaz te hit the roof of the net 🤣
Second best day of your life now surely ;)
One of the luckiest!
2:01 Yes 1-0 WHU - BPool
Whu 1-1 2:50 Blackpool
WHU 2 -1 Blackpool 5:00 Yesss
Keep up the content my man ⚒⚒⚒
