- Thanks for stopping in. Here are some random tips and improvements for the Mow-n-Vac. It is a very handy time saver. I really like mine. I have a good sized lot with about 90 oak trees. I am now an Amazon affiliate. So if you buy using the links I share for them I do get a little bump.
Turns out Amazon sells and ships these. The newer ones are a bit different than mine. I bought mine in 2015. I bought mine at Runnings Farm store.
Tractor Supply sells them,

As does Amazon

Runnings, my favorite local farm store only lists the soft box version,

Remote Hose Kit.

Ames metal leaf rake. This link is a newer version of the metal rake that I like. Mine came from an Our Own Hardware store many years ago.

What is the wire on the inside roof for??
Works as a sort of filter so the leaves don’t just blow out the back of the box.
Can you show how you set that up? Or just screwEd some wire to the top?
@THEREALBIGGROBB the screen was in place when I bought the leaf vac. I will try and take a closer look as to how it is installed.
Hello great video but i have a question how to do you keep grass from building up in the Chute
You have to match the ground speed to how much the vac can handle. It can be tricky depending on the material you are sucking up. Dry leaves generally go easy. Mulched leaves I usually slow down a bit. To reduce the volume going in and to suck most of them up. Green tall grass can be frustrating. It’s wet and sticky. whenever I think it found the right ground speed to avoid plugs. Pow, I clog the hose or overfill the bin and plug up the works. Good luck and stay safe.
Do you happen to know where the white wire from the leaf vacuum safety shut of goes? My vac won't start and that wire has come undone.. however I can find anywhere that looks like where it would connect to! Its just a frayed end and no actual plug is on the end ... thanks on advance
Hello, I had no idea where that wire went to. So I went out to the shed and tore into the motor to find out. Here is the video,

Do you know of any videos replacing the carburetor? I have the intex i/c 206 6.5hp Briggs on mine, but it looks extremely similar
I have not looked at all. My carb has been trouble free so far. Cleaning leaves right now. Look like two nuts, a fuel line. One linkage rod with a very fine spring and whatever is involved with the choke. That and the air cleaner on top.
awesome tips i bought this model a few years ago used it once and it sat in a shed for 2 years and a mouse chewed through the white cord coming off of the impeller. i for the life of me cant find the other end or where it goes if i was to buy a new adaptor. Google youtube and facebook groups have been 0 help . Anyway you or anyone reading this be able to show me at least a general area where its going to or point me to somewhere other then the parts diagrams that show nothing. I would appreciate it so much
Your not the only one asking this question. So I went out to the shed and tore into the engine to find out where it goes. Here is the video,

Does it pick up grass clippings though?
Yes, I have cut fairly tall grass. Run over it a couple times with the mower. Then used this fella to pick up the clippings. It will plug up easier picking up wet heavy grass. Just can’t be in a rush.
The biggest adjustment I see is ditching all that plastic for a Trac Vac. Just started the 47th season of leaf collection with our Model 580.
Trac vac is a really nice machine. Some would say the Cadillac of leaf vacs. For me the Chevy is good enough.
My neighbor has a Trac Vac its build tough but I think my Agri-Fab does a cleaner job at vacuuming up leaves.
@@HereByFaith I have never seen one in use. They look like they are built very stout. I remember them being much more expensive then the Argo-fab.
