  • In this video, I begin the camperization of my Mitsubishi Delica Space Gear (L400) by removing the rear seats and carpet as well as adding insulation, a plywood subfloor, and a sheet vinyl floor.

Those holes you cut out for the 'actuating motors' as you say in the video are actually caps that need to be removed if they have to replace your rear struts, either replace your struts before doing this or leave a removable access hole for the mechanic or yourself to access these in future, otherwise your entire floor is coming out to undo the top of the strut, the top of the strut is near impossible to undo if not completely impossible to remove from underneath the delica.

Why remove the carpet and insulation? They do their job at much less weight than the plywood.

why not just add wood floor w/o removing carpet, which would act as insulation?

nicely done. I am doing pretty much the same soon. Wondering how thick your plywood is and also what edge trim did you use? Thanks and looking forward to see the progression :)

@@iAligator are you wanting to get rid of them. I’m interested in the rails & swivels x 2. I’m in point Grey.

@@aubreyj.tennant1123 I’m looking to keep them but you should try the Delica Facebook groups. Lots looking to get rid of them in the Vancouver area.
