- You join us for the third leg of this day trip in the Cirrus SF50 G2 Vision Jet. We're just about to fly a fully coupled low approach and go around at Prestwick before rejoining the airways and again maxing out the SF50 at FL310. The destination is slightly different thing time, an uncontrolled airfield at Turweston. Please do like and comment your thoughts - it really helps!

Having a jet landing at this airfield was probably the highlight of the year for this ATC. Even the sheep probably looked up! Great excitement!
Top work Ben. Briefing, comms, situational awareness on point. It's clear your current in multi crew environment. Makes light work of a single pilot deck.
Thanks a lot, Sam, that’s kind!
Fantastic to see the transition from Airways flying to an arrival into an uncontrolled airfield, another great video Ben!
Ah thanks, Sam, that’s very kind!
Awesome to see what the Vision Jet's capable of, great video as always Ben.
Thanks Joe!
Sorry Ben. It has taken me a bit of a time to get to this but well worth it. Awesome machine and awesome video!👍
Thanks, Tim! Hope you’re well.
You really are living the dream. Top-quality content as ever. Now if I could just win the lotto, I need an SF50 to get to Oban...
Hahaha that sounds like an awesome way to get there!
I have always enjoyed your vlogs for several years Thanks foralways sharing your experiences
Thanks a lot, Ken!
Yet again another fabulous, helpful video, Ben!

Nice video, Ben - Love it! 👍✈️
Thanks mate! Enjoyed your content lately.
Great video, Ben. I worked at ScATCC for about 5 years back in the 80’s and lived near the airport.
That’s awesome, thanks for the comment, Ben!
Brilliant video Ben … love it 👍👨✈️✈️
Thanks a lot, Chris.
@@PlaneOldBen Did you get the chance to fly it yourself at all ?
Another banger Ben! Great video!
Thanks a lot, AV! Glad you enjoyed it.
You guys are really lucky. I can't wait to fly like that too.
It was such a fun flight!
Great video as always👍
Thank you very much, Ben!
Thanks for sharing - nice aeroplane, reminds me of being in a flight simulator 🤔😆😉 Wonderful views too. Do you ever fancy flying a Chipmunk or a microlight etc?
Thanks for the comment, I’ve flown both types!
@@PlaneOldBen lucky you! 👍👍😊😊😉
Fantastic video. Many thanks.
Thanks a lot, James!
Awesome Ben👌🏼😎
Thanks, Sam! Glad you enjoyed it 🤙🏼
That’s the flying club I go to I know that approach 😂nice vid mate
That’s awesome! Hope you enjoy flying from there.
Very nice video Ben 👍
Thanks a lot, Jeff!
Brilliant vid mate!
Thanks a lot, Oz!
Great video!
Thank you very much, Alessio!
Loving the carbon accent on the lower panels
It’s so cool!
Thanks Ben, really interesting. Isn't it good when climbing that the altitude clearances allow for the climb to be continuous.
It’s great!
Nice video Ben! I can see you use a couple of Hero 3s. How do you find them for filming in the cockpit? Any issues with it such as the lack of stabilisation? Many thanks!
I prefer not to have any stabilisation on them as it’d try and keep the horizon level all the time and looks strange!
@@PlaneOldBen thanks, that’s really helpful to know. Might pick up an used one to film my training, hopefully it’ll do the trick!
Thanks for the video. I don’t have A/T in my bird but it is interesting to see the endless throttle adjustments (looks like one every two secs), this does not drive you crazy?
I think it works quite nicely but definitely something to get used too at first!
Turweston! I used to watch a Simon Cort you-tube channel, where he flies a PA28-161 on his training flights with his CFI. That looks quite delightful to be up there at FL310! Thanks for this video!
Thanks a lot, Christopher.
So do you have a job with the airlines or private jets?
have a nice day. How can I find the price list of 0 km 2 and 4 seater light aircraft? thanks.
Thank you, I think flying with a Cirrus plane is much easier than a Cessna or Piper plane. Am I right?
Depends on the types to be honest!
What the heck are the minimums there?? You were basically on the runway!
Yeh you’re right! We set the minimums for a QFE join but with a busy arrival we joined QNH and didn’t adjust them - prioritisation of tasks is important in busy periods of flight and adjusting minimums when clearly VMC is a low priority!
interesting, I did my ppl in 2006 and IMC a little later, I then stopped flying roughly 30 hours later as trusting my life to instruments in a cessna as old as me wasnt fun, this is way safer !
Oh no! Hopefully you can find something more modern and get back into it.
nice.... 44:18 ,, it called minimums over the numbers lol
It did! We set the minimums anticipating joining on a QFE however we joined QNH and there wasn’t the time on arrival to adjust it, it was only there as a slight bit of help anyway due to the fact we weren’t flying an instrument approach.
@@PlaneOldBen ya just funny to hear that on a visual approach lol
Niceeee
Cheers!
nice :))
Thanks!
You say “uncontrolled” but there’s more traffic information provided than an ATC unit!
To elaborate on your statement and to perhaps state the obvious…you get controlled away / positioned to deconflict from traffic at an airfield where you’re controlled, at an uncontrolled airfield you’re given traffic information so you can deconflict yourself!
