I laughed at the 'Is anyone here from the 90's' My first gaming console was a Magnavox Pong system back in the mid 70's. I turn 50 within a couple weeks of the PS5 coming out.

@@arkyg4022 I've cleaned my Ps4 many times.
I take off the bottom plate and power unit, then i clean the fan and heatsink.
Whole process takes about 10 minutes or less.
The most fragile part inside the console is probably bluetooth antenna and im always very careful to not touch it.

That's easy fix, order a new part :)
First time when i cleaned my console i accidentally broke the bluetooth antenna with my vacuum cleaner and my controller stopped working, but luckily i had spare Ps3 which antenna fits to Ps4.

I am from ps1 era too and even if PS has improved a lot, nothing beats the fun I had as a kid playing the ps1. The nostalgia. Games before may not have good graphics as today but the games themselves were really fun. Only people who had ps1 or 2 will understand.

XBOX fans are ruining my experience honestly. They even use the smallest details as an "insult" (like the stand). And obviously they bring up the "XBOX gamepass". Its so annoying and honestly i think im nevere gonna get console anymore.

Mine vibrated so much from the disc drive, my TV aerial, that was touching the wall, made it sound like it was really really broken.

I dont get it i just bought a brand new ps4 2 weeks ago, and its extremely quiet and cool i can never hear it. I dont get why everyone says its loud and hot
Am I the only one who has never chased trophies? I just enjoy my game.
I use the trophies as a way to challenge myself after the game is done. I don't really care about unlocking the trophies just doing the challenges they present. Like complete the game without powers or find all the hidden loot on every map. Stuff like that give me a reason to go back and play it again.
At first I never bothered but then I found hunting them could add some extra enjoyment to the game and I get a few more hours out of them. If course there are times like in neverwinter for example killing 1000 dragons wasnt fun and wasted my time! Each to their own lol
I didnt chase them until I got my first platinum lol
I play the game to enjoy it. Then I platinum the game to master it. Then I delete the game and move on to the next.
Most of mine are gained accidentally. I'm more of a completionist

The main thing I'm hyped about is how they've fixed the noise of the system so it no longer sounds like an aeroplane applying full thrusters getting ready for take off
Lol I hope someone responds to this in a year or a couple, when the PS5 sounds about as loud as the PS4 currently does. I think for launch, sure, most games will run very quietly but it’ll eventually get loud.
lmao especially when I'm playing no man's sky on my ps4 pro, when i have a planet, and a lot of stuff to load like mountains, structures and all that the console almost sounds like it's sweating profusely lol

@@rayzojams cleaning and changing thermal paste and thermal pads. When the heat cant be properly transported to the heatsink its bad and when it cant be moved out of the system properly by air its even more bad

Shouldn’t have to buy more storage. Ps5 should have 2tb memory minimum for next gen games. And let’s be honest the dust catchers won’t do anything lol.

51: The super high speed storage and bus speeds means assets do not require replicating which means future ps5 games will be smaller (until 8k assets are a thing!)
So that 800GB SSD is probably equivalent to 1 TB anyway
while they are going to be smaller, its not going to be a big difference. only a few gigs. the new spider man game is only 2gigs less on the ps5, than on the ps4.

@@jayykellyxiii4910 yes, but because of the ssd, things do not need to be duplicated a bunch of times because the fast seek speeds can find it basically instantly, instead of having it 100 times in a bunch of different places on a hard drive.
so no corners were cut, they just got rid of duplicated files because they are no longer needed on the ssd.

Thank goodness they fixed the cooling. My PS4 literally sounded like a miniature jet engine like you said. I once put it inside my TV stand and closed the door the system generated so much heat that the door to the TV stand got hot. And I wasn’t even playing it. It heated up just by sitting there on standby.

At first I seriously thought the trophies were glitched. I kind of liked the old way since getting to the next level was an adventure in on itself slowly getting to the next level and I just got my level 19 too so I'm sad to see it go.

Everyone complaining about the noise of the PS4 doesn’t understand it should be cleaned out and new thermal paste applied and it will go back to being pretty much silent!

Honestly the ps5 seems the better option to me as a Xbox one owner, but I literally cannot give up my Xbox elite controller. I've gotten so used to the back paddles!

From the 90's? HA! I am from the 80's. Well, that was the time in my life I was "immortal". Born in the 60's, I know and experienced gaming from the beginning. It is getting so fun! Nice video btw you whipper snapper.
I'm born in early 90's. And even though I was young at the time I still grew up with a fair amount of older stuff, either from my dad who still plays Playstation, or through my own interest in older games and their hardware. I was somewhat the posterchild of ''best graphics =/= best game'' on my school when everyone was going crazy about how awesome the PS3 was, and the stuff I was playing was far to ugly to be enjoyable.
Now what I actually wanted to say haha, I often think about how unimaginably foreign older games are going to be to folks younger than you and I 20-30 years from now. For me the history of the gaming industry was in a recent past, wasn't to much and was very cheap compared to the insane prices of old gaming related hardware when they released.
If you were born at the moment the PS5 launched, I wonder how far away the old stuff will seem like. Once it isn't a matter of 20 -40 years ago but 60-80, a whole grandparent generation difference.

@@Daan_Knobbout I play the true classics from the arcade days, when there were actual arcades around. Pac Man and Galaga were my favorites. Do you remember Elevator Action? I have a Raspberry Pi 4.0 that has thousands of old arcade games to enjoy.

It gets louder over time as dust builds up. My PS4 Pro sounded really loud until I cleaned it out and added new thermal paste. Now it doesn't make any noise at all.
