You can also hold down the Lock button instead of Door if you want your remote button to activate the opener light or on a 3-button remote (973LM, 973W, 373LM, 373W), you can press and hold the 3rd button, hold down the LOCK button, then press the door button, it programs all 3 buttons with a function: Open, Close, or Stop.
thanks ! excellent video...i bought a house with the chamberlain liftmaster formula I opener, and a 373 lm remote..and now i dont have to climb up to the opener hanging in my garage, and i can just program the remote from the opener system on the wall in the garage..i didnt know i didnt have to climb up to the opener, and instead i can reprogram the remote from the ground...you made my life easy !..
Thank you it worked perfectly my problem was that I had one garage door control in the car and a code pad on the wall I bought a new control and held the memory botten and set the new control but erase the old programs on the code pad and the first control saw you're you tube video and did all 3 in less than 5min thanks.
Great Video. I have Liftmaster 2280R that does not work . The light button on the control penal turns the motor on-- just noise-- but the door does not move. Any idea?
Got that problem..clicker open door....push again and it won't come down ..I push the light bottom..I hear a click and then come down....and the same thing every morning
no one thinks toknow to answer my question. Again, i have chamberlain model.the remote, works to open door, but to close it i have to push a wall switch, i have to hold this thing pressed, until door is closed. what i need to replace this, and have a uniitthat will work with remote to close door

Okay what about vice versa? My remote works but I can’t get my wall pad to work. Accidentally reset everything yesterday
