I want to live this lifestyle so much but it is very challenging when you live in America or any other empire country that offers stress, junk food and work schedules that cause even more stress. Plus, our habits are hard to break. But I am trying. Why should it be so hard to live in the present moment, if that is the gift God or the universe gave us, Why doesn't mindfulness come naturally? Fear and anger are built into us to protect us. Lion coming, run. Someone trying to hurt us, anger and self defense. These emotions must be in us or we would not have survived.

Present moment is the gift from God and it was built in us and so Anger, fear, self defense are in us too. Our job is to to live in the present moment constantly and take care of our feelings whenever they arrive.

I think the wisdom of thich nath hanh in this video is very well presented and reproduced by Sister Dedication. However, I also find it regrettable, to express these invitations to participate explicitly only for young people, as if people who are no longer very young, are already lost anyway would be.
