  • Think Fact here:
What kind of vision do dogs actually have? How good is it, how bad is it? What's it like in contrast to human vision? How far can they see? Can dogs see colors? Which ones?

Dog toys are red because humans can see red in green grass. If your dog doesn't get the toy in the yard, you can! It gives you an advantage so you can better fool your little dog friend.

+Javier56286 Not true at all. There are two ways color is made, additive color mixing and subtractive color mixing.
When you mix colored lights you can make combination that would not work like if you mix paints. Ever been to a play?

Will what is formed say to the one who formed it, “Why did you make me like this?” 21 Or has the potter no right over the clay, to make from the same lump one piece of pottery for honor and another for dishonor? 22 And what if God, desiring to display His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience objects of wrath ready for destruction? 23 And what if He did this to make known the riches of His glory on objects of mercy that He prepared beforehand for glory- 24 on us, the ones He also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

It's interesting that dogs only have cones sensitive to blue and yellow. An evolutionary trait of hunting brown prey? O.O It's kind of strange that they can't detect red though considering the colour of flesh or was it some how lost? I'm getting inspired to compare the types of cones wolves and dogs have.
Does the wideness of vision affect the depth perception of dogs though like in the case of a more 'flat' vision for rabbits than that of humans?
    It's a really thought-invoking video. :D

He sees the light, but not the red color. To him it would look more like a moving white dot. Be careful, something being red does not make it invisible, it just means their brain will fill it in with a color it can understand.

I literately laughed out loud over the forte/40 thing.
I love how you mess with seemingly angry people, TF. Pure gold every time.
Andrew, I got to ask..? Why document it? Just leave, because this just makes you look really over reactive. If a word is said wrong, okay say it. But why try to make a scene? It seems quite fallacious to generalize the entire knowledge of a person based upon a mistake.
If mistakes are truly that much of a deterrent, you shouldn't try to use CZcams videos as a to educate yourself. You won't find a single person who hasn't made a mistake.

we also don't know if smell and/or hearing augments their vision. Our sense of smell augments our sense of taste and some bat species use sound to fine tune the location of their prey. Some animals might "see" better because they are able to judge distances with their sense of hearing or smell.
