Jensen brilliant as always? Delightful musician and woman. Great complicity between her and Järvi.

Janine herself. If you go listen to Hilarys performance, she goes into the relative minor, where it develops quite nicely and has a contrast to the original music, a bit like cadenza 1.E. on the other hand, Janine recaps the major key, which matches the whole 1st mvmt.
the sheer talent of them is just insane, and although i can play it, i cannot write such a beautiful cadenza.

Lacking the Mozart joyful character, typical of this concerto, see Prihoda for example. The notes do not fly into the air, they stay grounded to the violin, in Jansen’s

All a matter of taste I guess. But I feel Janine is one of the "lighter" players and by far the most interesting interpretation for me. There is so much going on with bow and vibrato. And it tells a round story. Peihoda makes some weird accents and seems to have not such a control. But it's as I said a matter of taste and we are lucky, every person is different 😉

just a different interpretation. they are all different. try playing a piece of music without hearing it before, play it, then listen to different recordings, you will be surprised!!
      ex,
i like to take less time for the grace notes in the passage of the 1st mvmt, which is what Hilary did, but my staccatos are stronger and more pronounced like janine.
everyone has their own style and just try to enjoy it, and if you dont, you always have your favourite soloist!!

In Mozart generally the 'joyful' will be offset by a darker mood, sometimes within the space of a few bars. This is the essence of Mozart.
