World of Warships - Quick Cut: Tier VII Japanese Destroyer Akatsuki

Tier VII Japanese destroyer Akatsuki builds upon the lessons learned in her immediate predecessor, namely how to maximize three torpedo launchers for maximum tactical flexibility and when (and when NOT) to use the main battery guns. This match on Seychelles is a lot of cat-and-mouse and positional games early, with some entertaining kills and better damage later.

Probably my favourite IJN DD. Nothing earth-shattering but played sensibly she's a great CAP controller...just spews out torps. Good game Searaptor 🖒

Haven't played the game in a long time but I loved this Can when it dropped. Great torps, great speed and usable guns. Unlike a lot of IJN Destroyers I would play this Can claws out. Wasn't afraid to pick gun fights with other destroyers and it could speed-boost shank lone battlewagons with aplomb.

I loved the first three seasons of the expanse. But they lost me after that. But a Drummer voice over, sign me up.
In an IJN torp DD, CVs can just ruin your game if they want to with little recourse, unless you have a lot of smoke.

Which is why in randoms I will always play smoke and not TRB.
