same here, but i remember struggling with Mad Jack a lot, that factory boss was a real asshole.
In my eyes, K. Rool in this game was one of the greatest last levels of all time. You pretty much use every single thing you have learned in the entire game to beat him. It was just a very well put together finale.
Agreed. Such a comeback after the lame final battle in DKC3.
I agree. As well as the fact that the Kremling Referees playing with the bell was so funny! Especially during Tiny’s round!😂

My mom loved this game and played it a lot when my brother and I were kids. I was the only one to defeat Mad Jack for her.
They need to remaster this game for Nintendo Switch.
Army Dillo is fought twice by Donkey Kong in Jungle Japes and Crystal Caves
Dodagon is fought twice by Diddy Kong in Angry Aztec and Chunky Kong in Fungi Forest.
Mad Jack is fought by Tiny Kong in Frantic Factory,
Puftoss in Gloomy Galleon and King Kut Out in Creepy Castle are fought by Lanky Kong.
King Krusha K. Rool is fought by the 5 Kongs in the boxing arena at K. Rool's airship.
The boss fights were the best things about DK64.

We need a remaster, remake or something of this classic ❤❤
My personal ranking in dificulty and explaining why:
1.- King K. Rool: An awesome boss that puts to the test all you know with the kongs.
2.- Dogadon (Fungui Forest): A total improvement of his last battle with the shock wave, the fire wall and making the platform sink, also to use Chunky's barrel to deal the damage in the second phase.
3.- Mad Jack: One of the few bosses with actual dificulty spikes, getting smarter in each phase, to get to the point of predicting your moves and the inbisibility. On a side note, this is my favorite boss.
4.- Puftos: The only thing making it hard is the horrible controls of the cocconut boat.
5.- King Cut Out: A funny boss that also breaks the mold by using all the kongs if you miss your attack.
6.- Armydillo (Crystal Caves): It just throws more stuff at you, besides that is the same as Jungle Japes. It only can take one extra hit unlike Dogadon in its rematch.
7.- Dogadon (Angry Aztec): Second boss, nothing special to say.
8.- Armydillo (Jungle Japes): Is the first boss, is supposed to be the easiest.

Army Dillo from Donkey Kong 64 (1999) is an armadillo boss like Armored Armadillo from Mega Man X (1994) and Sillydillo from Kirby and the Forgotten Land (2022).
Thats hilarious because I fought Army Dillo just recently & my 6 year old was referring to it as Sillydillo lol

Dogadon and Mad Jack were by far the coolest bosses.
did you know that the spider in the forest level and toy monster in the factory actually also count as bosses...they are mini bosses. i remember reading somewhere the spider was oing to be the main boss of the forest but they felt it was too similar to the spider from Donkey Kong Country 3 so they changed it.
the lamest boss was the castle boss...seriously...a plastic cut out of k.rool? that is so stupid...especially since there was a demon kremlin ghost in in the castle they could have used as the boss.
This year the DK games (spin-offs too like DDR and CBFD) from the old school games MUST return in the NSO+
