The best way to brew Café Bustelo is in a Moka Pot. I buy these bricks at Dollar General or Walmart. No need to order it.

@@AtHomewithLucas I should do a video on my CZcams channel with my standard load & gear for a 4 or 5 day backpacking trip. I live right outside of Yosemite National Park in the Sierras, so we backpack a lot. The biggest thing is good gear that is comfortable and only bring the bare essentials. I pack as light as possible with the essentials so I can bring a few luxury items like coffee, Aeropress, my tobacco pipe and a bit of bourbon or single malt Scotch. There has got to be a lot of CZcams channels to help you get started.
Here are my essential gear items: backpack: Osprey Atmos AG 65, camp stove: JetBoil, water filtration: Katadyn Hiker Pro, coffee prep: Aeropress Go without the cup, Tent: North Face Tadpole 2, Sleeping bag: Big Agnes with a QCore pad, Bear canister: Bear Vault BV500, meals: Mountain House freeze dried. For food we open each pack and press out all of the air to save space. This is what my load-out has evolved to over time. This would be pricy if you got it all at once since I've acquired this gear over time.
On Instagram my user profile is @kraigseder and I have pics of a lot of our backpacking trips.

I just watched your review of cafe bustelo -brazilian blend. Because I'm curious to try it (the Brazilian blend). I was never a big coffee drinker, but I did drink it once in a while. That is, until I made a friend who had immigrated from Cuba. She made me a cafecito, and I was hooked. It's whipped espresso sugar and a couple shots of espresso. I could never taste coffee the same after that. So she told me to just get some cafe bustelo so I could make it myself and now mornings just arent right without my bustelo! I have bricks of it just stacked in my coffee cabinet! I'm never going back! Just the smell of it... ugh it's so amazing!

@@AtHomewithLucas , I tried it for making a Sweet Creme Latte. For the price, not too bad.
It reminds me of a coffee Dollar Tree sells called Café El Morro. The packaging is nearly identical. I suspect both use Robusta as the primary coffee bean. Robusta tends to have that old school, bold with a touch of bitter taste.
btw , Walmart carries Café Bustelo in the brick and can.

I just tried this for the first time. The k-cup version. I found it a bit bitter and with a slight smell of cigarettes. I don’t smoke. So that’s what I thought about it.
When you add sugar and creamer, it’s really good ... but I drink my coffee plane.
I also tried the Colombian version and I found that to be better, with a more pleasant taste and not as strong as Espresso. I rate Colombian K-Cup 4/5 and Espresso 2/5
So far, my favorite is Stumtown. Still discovering new coffee.

Okay so I found this info 👍😁
"since the beans are denser than a darker roast. However if you weigh out your scoops, darker roasts will have more caffeine, because there is less mass. ... And, as we know from our caffeine basics the amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee is so minimal, we might not even notice the difference. Myth be damned"

It's like all "wrong" coffee. When made in a Moka Pot it's flavour is bigger than made by other methods. Acquired taste but a must on occasions. Like the robusta burned tire notes which is a something I got used to. Robusta ? Yes, I think they may use it even if they don't admit it. Great grind for Moka Pot worse very well and makes excellent milk coffee. One thing I don't like it though is that the flavour dissipates quickly as you approach the second half of the bag even if I keep it in in the freezer. Strange.
